New York Rangers Fan Club

  O  ABOUT US

As a participant in various forums across the internet, I had been forever searching for a New York Rangers web-site that could provide information both historical and current, as well as a place where I could discuss my favorite professional sport and team.  For some time I wandered the various forums and finally settled on the former New York Rangers Game Day hosted by the folks over at rivals.net.

By the spring of 2000-2001 it became apparent that the site was in trouble to the point they had to close down the service.  Out of the dying embers of that site came the idea to build a new and independent site that could serve the same purpose, and so as the spring turned to summer I gradually put together Outside The Garden and the information contained within.

Now that I live down in the Philadelphia area, I find this website and the forums I still participate in are an important link to the team from "hostile territory".  I hope you enjoy visiting the site as much as I have in it's creation and maintenance.

The goal of this site is to provide a place for Rangers fans to come and get information about the team, discuss the latest Rangers news and feel part of the greatest fan community in professional sports.  We're not a commercial site in any sense of the word, the entire expenses for keeping the site going come out of my own pocket.

If you'd like to drop us a line with a request, correction or simply a comment then please don't hesitate.

Thanks again for visiting,
