How to break the news to you that all preview articles are speculation my friend. Would you say the same thing about an article that says the Rangers are going to make the playoffs?
Let us face facts where are the Ranger's weakest areas on the team? They are the PK and overall team defense.
They have talked up accountability as a mantra when accountability really is the coaching staffs role not the players. Barnaby got sat down for most of the preseason is nothing until we see come the regular season they repeat the same "punishment" to all players who take bad penalties.
They made accountability the buzz word because that is what most Ranger fans wanted to hear. What will you say if come Friday night Holik or Lindros takes a lazy penalty which was so typical of their play last season?
The one key I have learned about Slats is not to watch what is said but what wasn't said. They can harp all they want about accountability but it just so happens those areas I cited are equally or even more important than accountability.
