► RUMOR MILL

Thursday - December 5th
Per Elliot Friedman of Sportsnet:
Prior to the December 1st deadline, the Oikers apparently tried again to move Jesse Pujljujarvi, and the Rangers were reportedly one of the teams interested.
The trade would have involved Lias Andersson going the other way, but ultimately they could work out a deal.

Rupp needs to answer the bell and let top lines do their magic
|
|
Posted by Michael M. Ramos ≡ 3:01:11 PM - April 25, 2012
With the Rangers returning home for a Thursday 7pm game at the Worlds Most Famous Arena, a ticket to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals is awaiting. While it would be easy for the Rangers to focus on the hit on Boyle that concussed him, the kicking to McDonagh's midsection that got a warning from the NHL, Karlsson's kicking at Prust after a Prust hit(video can be seen on youtube), or either the slew foot of Neil on Richards early in the game or the Neil spearing of goalie Henrik Lundqvist that led to the kicking in of a goal that the league said was "inconclusive" the Rangers need to keep their eye on the win. Instead of getting lost in the zoo like atmosphere, the Rangers need to answer the bell when the chance calls like Prust did by fighting Neil and the hit on Neil by Michael Del Zotto. The Garden Faithful need to help their beloved Rangers to take this series to the next level, while keeping their eye on the real prize, getting to the next round.
This years Rangers team has gone through alot of hardships and have come out on top. They started the season off without Marc Staal and then lost Michael Sauer, so they have been without a top 4 defenseman all season long. With the Rangers expecting next season to be the season it would all come together with the additions to the regular lineup of Chris Kreider, Tim Erixon, and the addition of maybe a faceoff specialist; this years club has been a breath of fresh air. This team has followed Coach John Tortorell's gameplan all season long and the lockerroom is a solid unit. They are a hardworking team that stands for what New Yorkers are all about. The fans were willing to be supportive of the rebuild that started in 2005. It has now come to completion and the Rangers are ready for a long run into the playoffs, once they get past this series.
So let's get ready for tomorrow night Rangers fans, and make the GARDEN an impossible place to play for the Senators. Make it tough on Anderson, let Neil know how you feel about his spearing this years Vezina Finalists in the gut--his headshot on Boyle--and crying after getting hit by Del Zotto, and make it another memorable night at The World's Most Famous Arena. The Rangers team needs to keep their focus, but the fans don't have to. Give them hell Rangers Faithful !!!
