Brandon Prust gets a 1 game ban for game 4.

Shanahan, yet again has made an impact on the Rangers playoff drive. In round 1, Hagelin gets 3 games for a high hit on Alfredsson while Neil recieved nothing for his high hit that concussed Brian Boyle, who was also attacked by Carkner who recieved only a one game ban for following through on his threat that he was going to get Boyle after game one. In the 2nd series against Washington, Ovechkin clearly left his feet to deliver a high hit while leaving his feet to hit Rangers Dan Giradi after Ovechkin chose not to play the puck to make the hit, and that offense while recieving a 2 minute penalty, did not even get looked at for disciplinary action even though Ovechkin had already faced desciplinary for the same type of hit earlier this year. Now in round 3 against the Newark Devils, Brandon Prust gets suspended for game 4 for an elbow to devils Volchenkov in which a penalty was not even called. Forget about the Zubrus elbow to Anton Stralman's jaw or Parise leaving his feet to hit Michael DelZotto that don't even get looked at,but in Shanahan's eyes, all hits on Rangers players are OK to him whether legal or not.
This looks like it is going to work out fine for the Rangers in the long run as Brandon Dubinsky is skating with the team in a regular practice jersey meaning that he should be ready to return to action. If Dubinsky is back in the lineup it would seem that he would step into Prust's spot on the Mike Rupp and Brian Boyle. If Dubinsky isn't back, look for the Rangers to add Kris Newbury as Newbury has had a cup of coffee or two and can step into a fourth line roll. The Rangers need to not feel sorry for themselves and do what they have done all season and playoffs that have gotten them into this position, play RANGERS HOCKEY. Dump the puck deep and bang the hell out of the devils defensemen. It is clear that the only one now afraid to make a play and get hit is Salvador, so the Rangers should just wear them down. If Dubinsky is back in the lineup, you can count any contribution from David Clarkson as he will so distracted by Dubi, he will forget everything about his teams game. Worst scenario is that the Rangers will return the the Worlds Most Famous Arena and the GArden Faithful with a best out of 3 series with 2 of the 3 games at home. What is more likely is that the Rangers will return to MSG looking to closing out Newarks team. The King is showing why he should clearly be the Vezina and Hart trophy winner and is clearly the Rangers MVP this playoffs with his 2nd shutout of the devils in 3 games.
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!! DO it for Pruster!!!!!!
