RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - September 16th

According to Larry Brooks of the New York Post, the Rangers and Marc Staal have begun talks on a contract extension.

There is no progress to note at this stage, with Staal's agent reporting that talks are amicable and ongoing - or something to that effect. The Rangers are reportedly offering a similar deal to what Dan Girardi received in January, 6 years at $5.5M, about $500K or so less than what Staal is reportedly looking for.

The King will be a wall tonight!!

BELIEVE IN BLUE!!!!!
Posted by Michael M. Ramos ≡ 2:08:40 PM - May 25, 2012

This years Rangers team once again finds itself with it's back against the wall. This team will not go down easily. Throw out everything that has happened this year as all that matters tonight is the game in front of them. They need to take this game shift by shift and minimize any mistakes they make. Look for Henrik Lundqvist to be back in top form and Michael Del Zotto to have his head back on the game on hand. Brad Richards was brought in for games like this and Brandon Dubinsky got rid of any rust he had for missing games due to his injury. Everything looks to be pointing to a Rangers win tonight!! The Rangers need to BELIEVE in themselves as much as the Rangers fans BELIEVE in them.

Back in 1994, the Rangers needed Mark Messier to step up and make the GUARANTEE, but the 2012 team to a man knows what needs to be done. In '94, players have come out and said that Mike Keenan wasn't there for the players, but John Tortorella is there for his players and they are playing for him as much as they are for the other players on this team.

The season for right now all comes down to this game and the Rangers are confident that this will go to game 7 back at MSG. If the Rangers score first tonight, the Newark Devils fans will of course panic and it will be felt throughout all 14,000 devils fans nationally. If the Devils were to score first, The Rangers Faithful know that the Rangers will find a way to battle back and pull off the win.

Brad Richards took Michael Del Zotto under his wing this season and made a pro out of him. The loss of DelZotto's grandmother was felt teamwide as this club really cares about each other. Captain Ryan Callahan's wife just had a baby. There have been a few off ice distractions for the Rangers lately, but with a loss tonight there is no tomorrow, so EVERYONE in Rangerland knows it's balls to the walls tonight.

My call is Brad Richards makes the big play tonight while Henrik Lundqvist plays his best game of the series tonight!!!  You make your call fans and see who gets it right!!!

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!
