RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

Chris Kreider could be back in the line-up tonight

Mashinter Sent Back Down; Kreider Ready?
Posted by Toby Ivey ≡ 4:30:09 PM - February 5, 2013

The Rangers returned Brandon Mashinter to the Connecticut Whale after the morning skate, and there's remains plenty of speculation over who might actually play tonight.  Chris Kreider could be a surprise starter having not played the last five games for New York after suffering a bone chip in his ankle.

Meanwhile JT Miller (NHL) and Darroll Powe (NYR) will make their debuts tonight with Miller wearing number 47 - last worn by Mike Green in 2004, and Darroll Powe assuming the number 8 worn by Brandon Prust for his three season stint with the Rangers.

In other news, Ryan Callahan practiced without limitation this morning, and while he won't play tonight, it sounds like he might be closer to return than expected.
