RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

Buckle Up Ranger Fans! Another Game 7
Posted by Michael M. Ramos ≡ 8:54:18 AM - April 30, 2014

The Rangers had the advantage for the again in this first round series and let it slip away. Let's be honest, it got blown away last night. The Rangers came out strong, couldn't put one past Flyers goalie Mason who played lights out, and then folded until the third period which made the game lok closer than it was. The Flyers got a few breaks and made every bounce count by beating Rangers All World goalie Henrik Lundqvist 4 times in the first two periods that saw him resting and watching the third period from the bench.

Like I wrote yesterday, the Flyers players and fans were going to make last night a nuthouse in Philthydelphia and it lived up to exactly as was thought. On the ice, the Flyers hacked and whacked the Rangers at all opportunities and made the game an out of control pace and forced their game on the Rangers. The Rangers didn't show any pushback until late in the third period when the Flyers were playing a prevent type defense, which the Rangers took advantage of. The 5 on 5 play score was a 2-2 tie, that should tell the Rangers exactly where their game needs to be tonight. Derrick Dorsett has been a Flyers target and has seemed to help the Flyers more than he has helped the Blueshirts as he plays right into the Flyers gameplan and ignites their style of play. Coach AV needs to take him out of tonights lineup and replace him with replace him with Dan Carcillo who plays a similar style, but has walked the fine line and ignited the Rangers. The Rangers could even replace Dorsett with Jesper Fast because even if it takes taking a punch in the face to get a win tonight, that is what they have to do. Throught Benoit Pouliot's career, he has been known to have million dollar talent with a ten cent head meaning he has great skills but does stupid things and that is exactly what he did last night that started the Flyers turn the tide in their favor by taking a penalty away from the play on a Giroux. The Flyers are the biggest diving group of tough guys in the league and complain about everything to the refs, something the Broad Street Bullies would have never done. One of the most disgraceful things that came out of last nights game was when Dorsett was crosschecked into Flyers goalie Mason who was knocked onto his back. As the play went on, Flyers goalie Mason clearly kicks SKATEBLADE first and makes contact with Dorsett's hip area! That should have had him thrown out of the game and suspended and hopefully the NHL will take a look at it since the refs clearly missed it!

The craziness wasn't just a fight on the ice where Brian Boyle rag dolled and had his way against Flyers Adam Hall, but in the stands as well. There were videos on youtube that showed a huge fight in the upper deck where multiple Flyer fans were fighting with  Rangers fans while Flyers security was holding back other fans from joing in but doing nothing to break up the fight. The video has since been taken down by YouTube.com and I would bet that the Flyers organization is happy about that as it shows their inept security.

So it all hangs on the line tonight in game 7 at MSG. Their will be hand shaking at center ice at the end of this game and a team will be moving on to play the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road on Friday at 7pm.  The Rangers record in game 7's at MSG is 5-0 and if they play Rangers hockey and stay disciplined, they should be fine. If the Flyers get them to play their out of control frenzied type hockey, the Rangers could be joining the other two metropolitan area teams on the golf course.

Players that need to show up for the Rangers to win tonight are at least Henrik Lundqvist, Rick Nash, MSL, Derrick Brassard, and Ryan Mcdonagh! LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!
