► RUMOR MILL
|
Thursday - December 5th
Per Elliot Friedman of Sportsnet:
Prior to the December 1st deadline, the Oikers apparently tried again to move Jesse Pujljujarvi, and the Rangers were reportedly one of the teams interested.
The trade would have involved Lias Andersson going the other way, but ultimately they could work out a deal.

McDonagh like the McDonagh Rangers fans are used to with goal and assist while playing 26:53
|

With Martin St. Louis questionable after the death of his mother, the Rangers planned on going into their elimination game against the Penguins in Pittsburgh with MSL in their hearts and thoughts. The dedication to his team and feeling his mother would want him to play, MSL walked in the locker room last night by gametime gearing up with his teammates trying to fight off the Penguins, looking to play another day. When the Rangers hit the ice, they played with determination and sacrafice while playing for their teammate in a game and time he will never forget. The Rangers left it all on the ice and won for their teammate MSL, each other, and their fans by beating the Penguins 5-1 and now play Game #6 on Sunday at 7pm at the Worlds Most Famous Arena.
Last time the Rangers played at the Garden it was a game to forget, with alot of booing from the Garden Faithful that had a few players complaining! Let's face it Ranger fans, with the way the team played in Game #5, the Garden Faithful should be on their feet cheering for their home team from the pregame to the end of the game no matter what happens. This team showed heart, pride, and determination which is what the city they play for stands for. Ryan McDonagh who is clearly hurt, played all out for 26:53 minutes and scored a goal and had an assist. Derek Brassard regained his touch and scored two goals while Chris Kreider chipped in with a goal. Kevin Klien played his physical game and even scored an empty netter to put the finishing touch on a complete game from the Blueshirts. Frodo from Modo, Mats Zuccarello had the touch with 3 assists. Henrik Lundqvist was stellar again and brought his record in elimination games in his playoff career to 8-2, but for the Rangers to come back in this round, that number will have to swell to 10-2, which is possible looking at the Rangers play in this last game.
The Rangers have found a heart and soul moment in this long season and now have something bigger than themselves to play for, besides a desire for the Cup. They are playing for their friend and teammate who has made the sacrafice of being away from his family in such a sorrowful time and the team has shown its Thanks for a day. The longer these playoffs go on, the busier MSL will be and will be preoccupied with hockey while making real life alittle easier for now.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU AMAZING WOMEN AND LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
