Rangers Claim McLeod

The Rangers have claimed Cody McLeod from the waiver wire from the NAshville Predators. The Rangers have been getting manhandle for most of the season and it was easy to see in L.A. after the Rangers took a 2-0 lead on Kings and then they just manhandled the Rangers and took control of the game. With McLeod on the bench or on the ice, opponents now will have to answer for running Rangers goalie or players on the ice, so players can now skate without having their heads up every second in fear of getting crushed. The Rangers were lucky to get a type of player they needed without having to give anything up.
The next few weeks will be fun to watch what the Rangers management will do before the trade deadline. With Kreider and Shattenkirk out longterm and Hayes hopefully returning soon, will the Rangers sell or buy hoping they can stay afloat in the playoff hunt which they are currently sitting on the outside looking in. The last few games have been fun to watch the between the lines type of stuff going on as in Colorado between whistles Rick Nash was seen clearly skating in circles with Nathan McKinnon talking in depth and in Anaheim Nash was aslo in deep talks with Ryan Getzlaf and neither conversation seemed confrontational. Could both of those conversations have been recruiting pitches as both teams could use a bigtime scorer that Nash could be on the wing of both centers. Let the dealing begin!!
