RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

Last night the Rangers played their final game, against a opponent they were probably looking past. Especially after getting up 4-1. They need to win at least four out of their remaining seven games, to lock up a playoff spot, and that won't be easy.

On the road against, the high flying Penguins and Hurricanes, a recently average Bruins team, a home tilt against Jersey thrown in, and its a tough start. Follow that up with a home game against the playoff bound Canadians, a home and home with the healthy Flyers, and you have all the ingredients for a playoff hopes wilt. Florida with a much easier remaining schedule is going to force it right down to the wire.

The question appears to be which Ranger team will play these next seven games. If its the gung ho attack team, we have seen under Torts, its still going to be a job. If its the team we saw the last two games, break out the clubs.
