A move to center with the Boogeyman on one side and Prust on the other
|
|

In the world of Tortorella, it would only make since that he would put Avery at center for his fighters. For the first time in awhile, the Rangers will not have to worry about a response for when Gaborik, Lundqvist, or any other player gets pushed around. Just having Boogard on the bench for his 5 minutes of playing time,(rumors have it that he is practicing with Pavel Datsyuk to improve his skating and learning to better his game) will keep other teams playing an honest game that will allow the Rangers skilled players to play their game without worries.
The line of Boogard--Avery--Prust will get the Garden crowd buzzing as they wreak HAVOC (Hit-Agitate-Violence-Obliterate-Conquer)all over the ice, so there shouldn't be any lackluster games this coming season for the Rangers.
In some of my earlier blogs, my sources have given some solid info. The June 17th blog, my sources were right on about McDonagh waiting for Joe Faust(since drafted by the Islanders) to officially decommit from Princeton University and is now listed committed to Wisconsin. McDonagh signed with the Rangers and his spot will be taken by Faust this season on the Badgers roster. Also, other sources have told me that Tortorella's gameplan was to get Stepan and McDonagh to leave school early. All goals accomplished. Tort's plan is also to have Grachev and Weise make the NHL roster. Those are spots that Tort's wants in the NHL this year, the jobs are theirs to lose if he has his way.
It seems like the Islanders read the blog on the 17th, as they took Neiderreiter and Brock which were great picks. The Rangers picks were ok, they didn't go after the huge intimidating defenseman in Tinardi that I thought they would if they picked a tough defenseman, but chose McIlrath who could be the newest version of Buekaboom.( We can only hope)
Sather has done a great job of not giving up on the kids(except for Sanguinetti-who was passed on the depth chart by McDonagh, Gilroy, DelZotto, McIlgrath, and Valentenko). Most people are saying that Redden will wind up in Hartford, but new rumblings have Rozsival being traded instead. The most likely destinations are Renney's Oilers,Calgary, or Columbus.
