RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

King Henrik tries to further his head to head dominance over Fatso and the Devilz.

Going for 4 on the Weekend
Posted by Michael M. Ramos ≡ 5:23:59 PM - October 24, 2010

The Rangers played a hardworking game that Rangers fans have been waiting for a long time now. King Henrik played like the game off refocused him as he lead the Rangers to victory with 35 saves. Tonight, the KING looks to put his dominance (approximately 2-1 ratio in wins vs Broduer)and even 1 more win head to head in the playoffs. Also, the Rangers are looking to push Broduer a little closer to being THE BIGGEST LOSER in NHL history. Going into the game, Broduer is 24 losses away from being the BIGGEST LOSER.

Right now, BOTH teams are hurting. The Rangers are without Gaborik,Prospal, and Drury for sure. Today, the Rangers called up high scoring AHLer Jeremy Williams as Prust was cut around his eye area and may not play tonight. It is at this time of injuries that you see your actual depth and leadership. The Rangers seems to be all fitting into the system and playing togehter as 1 group and the 3 man forecheck is putting pressure on the other opponents defensemen. That would seem to work into the Rangers favor with the new Devils defensemen.

While the Rangers are banged up, the Devils are also banged up and the locker room is in turmoil. The devils are missing Volchenkov,Rolston,Salmela,Pelley(who got hit in the face with a puck last night)and Salvador, while Kovulchoke was benched last night. Maybe he plays tonight, maybe he doesn't. Looks like the 2 #1 picks,Oduya,Cormier,Bergfors, and $103 million given up for this selfish player is already showing as a bad deal.

BUT, as everyone knows, beware of a team with nothing to lose as they are the most dangerous. Whoever plays, when these two franchises meet on the ice, it should be a fun game tonight.
