Honest assessment by Wings' coach: take away the Rangers' time and space. It's what teams do to beat the Rangers.

4th line effective again. Maybe the best line so far. Lindberg is the key, and he's made better by having a physical winger on his line.

The PK is so confident, that the defenseman can pinch in and score down low while short handed. I don't think I've ever seen this team this dangerous while down a man

Rangers are going to catch Columbus if they are not careful.

Columbus players had another Players coach meeting again... Torts wearing out his welcome... again.

Wings don't hit near their net, maybe less than the Rangers. McDonagh was untouched with 3 Wings around him, nobody hit him or tied up his stick.

He snuck in from behind the net. Nice play by him.

Torts is a great coach. For a year lol. Guy can't help himself. If it's true the Rangers probably will pass them.

I agree with his observations about the game, but not with his solution. These refs have enough trouble already without adding another penalty to call.

Was just going to say nice job on the kill... and then take a bogus penalty.

Way to start the third.

Get rid of the ice cleaners...3 points for a regulation win...2 points for an OT win...0 points for the loser...Game ends in a tie 1 point each ....and get rid of the shoot out...get rid of the Trapezoid ...get rid of the delay of game penalty for clearing the puck over the glass accidentally

How about we leave the game alone, and perhaps remove the instigator rule. If you want high scoring and visual stimulation, buy a PlayStation.

He's back skating maybe someone will run him in his no contact jersey. Put him out. Watch the Rangers will be on a roll and skippy will break up three lines to put Fast back in.

Well, keep reading here, there's more to come.

Rangers don't need little Jesper, so he's more of a "lesser option" than a "problem". He's incapable of producing on the top 3 lines on a consistent level to justify him over guys like Vesey, Grabner, or Buchnevich. He's too small and poorly suited to be a 4th line physical winger. His nifty chip-outs from the defensive zone and occasional forecheck that Sam/Joe love to gush over are nice, but THIS team is better off with a physical bigger winger on the 4th line. Even if that means Glass (sigh).

Oh, and did I mention, the Rangers are 6 - 2 without him.

I don't disagree with this, they'd be a better "team" with a Dwight King or Steve Ott.... just that Fast is not a bad player or a liability, but you're right

I'm thinking most things you read are mentally challenging but that's another story. Lil Jasper becomes a problem when he returns to the lineup cause where does he play? You have admitted on another post he's not top three line material. And admitted the Rangers would be better suited with different types on the fourth line.
So when coaches pet comes back where does he play.?
Compounded by coaches embarrassing use of him on the first line at various times and coaches blatant favouritism, that becomes a problem. Hence he is a problem.

Vesey Lindberg Fast

That's our top 12. Hate to break it to everyone, but that's how it goes.

In the playoffs, I'm not sure Buchnevich is ready for that. Vesey can slide up to the 2nd line, and insert Glass or Pirri.... but those are our lines when healthy.

Smith hasn't been bad, but I don't know if he's shown me enough to say he's above Girardi or Klein when healthy, either.

But this is good depth to have

Oh, I agree with this, absolutely. Unfortunately, they went to the likely first round opponent. Which is not good. Either would've been a better option than Glass, who has now reverted to his coasting mode where he doesn't really hit or fight.
