I don't think Hank will make it past #6 on that all time games played as a Ranger list. To reach #5 Walt, he would basically need another 3 seasons

I've always thought he is over rated. A player can take a shot in game 2 of the season in the 1st period & he yells SHOT as if it is game 7 of Finals & under 1 min to go. And, this is for every single player every shot every player that has never scored a goal takes.

Why don't teams just send a man to cover Ovechkin on the PP?

Let the rest of the team play 4on3.... just don't let Ovi EVER get the shot off!

He literally just stands there and waits for the one timer.... it's stupid!

These penalties r weak. They r only called in 2 arenas in the nhl. Also 14 yrs of the same pp we get beat on every game. Sick of it.

I've never seen anyone ever play man coverage on him. It should look like Sean Avery in Marty's grill... take Ovi out, and play 4on3. Just cancel him out!

Instead everyone just sticks to their system. They treat it like a normal PK.... Ovi isn't normal....

Flames wearing the uniforms that they never should have gotten rid of

My 2nd fav team in the 80s. One of the few teams that could beat the Oiler Machine.

Or

I'm kinda done with Lettieri. He's like a second Fast only not as effective

No, we watch the same game and see the same things. And I still can't figure out the hype on Chytil. I see nothing, absolutely nothing with this kid. At 13:27 per game, if he has that much promise, why isn't he playing 20 minutes a game with Hartford?

Everyone on here is waiting for Shattenkirks game to improve, we all heard the hype. Reality is his game won't, he's been around long enough that we are seeing what he most likely is. Quinn's smokescreen of him still recovering from injuries is exactly that. Right now very worried Rangers brass are watching him play and saying "3#4&" we got a dog here. A NHL player that will always make dumb lazy mistakes and never be a player on a championship team, largely because his follies will cause his teams playoff demise.
I give Buchnevich a little slack but he's on a shorter leash than he might think, and he better realize he's got to start playing a all round game every night or he might be soon trying to in another locale. Quinn wants every player pulling on the oars together with equal force. No passengers, to often Buchnevich isn't pulling his share and it will probably cause his exit unless the light goes on, and at his age thats unlikely.
Said many times Chytil should be in Hartford with Andersson who is playing catchup from wasting half a season of no development in the SEL last year. Chytil is barely competing in the NHL with all to few flashes of anything, although I will say he caught my eye more often last night with some plays. Both players have the talent but still don't have the confident mental part of their game in place to succeed. To many mistakes. Play in Hartford til they have it. They come up after christmas and both step in and can compete defensively and physically with no intimidation of where they are, then the offense will come. Won't hurt one bit to leave them in Hartford til they are producing a excellent all round game, a little longer than they'd like, waiting for a callup.

Yep. I don't see crap from Chytil. Now maybe with 2 years in the AHL he will be a solid, 3rd line guy. Andersson is much, much, better than him at this point. I don't get it either.

1000% spot on R...Our dopey front office failed to realize that Shattenkirk had a lot of good pieces around him in St. Louis....and thats why he looked like a good player...and Coach Quinn is covering for his boy...If his knee aint right then its practice for him til it is...but it wont matter...He is what he is...a pillow soft 2nd highest paid guy on the team. Buch absolutely better realize the short leash he is on

Just a move to get him games. You'll probably see him go up and down like this when they have breaks in the schedule.

Anderson much, much better at this point?

Just curious, what are you basing this off of? Two separate coaching staffs selected Chytil on the roster over Anderson.

Probably his past success rate at predicting which Ranger prospects will succeed in the NHL. He probably has the same success rate as the 2016 and 2017 Cleveland Browns. Or maybe slightly below that.

I don't give a fukkk what both coach staffs say. I'm basing it on fact he does jack shiiiiit every fukkkking game offensively. He's not good defensively. He can't win puck battles in the corners and isn't a PK guy. He also sucks on draws. Andersson has shown he wins puck battles in the corners, is excellent defensively and is good on the PK. He also wins faceoffs. In other words, Andersson has intangibles at a high level. Chytil doesn't. I think Andersson is cocky and these asswipe coaches don't like it. Keep in mind coaches are often pigheaded and play schmucks they have no business playing. Renney did. Torts did. Av did. Torts didn't want to play Kreider. AV continued to play Rick Nash all the time and he sucked ass. Coaching staffs should not be the only voice in determining the roster. They are stubborn mules.

Chytil has played 16 nhl games, he has 1 G, 4 A and is a -5. Andersson has played 7 nhl games, has 1 G, 1 A and is a +1. So please tell me how Chytil has earned a job over him. I don't give a crap how Chytil practices. I care about his ability in real games.

I don't think you can label DQ as a pigheaded coach, he has shown that he's not scared to sit anyone.

If you think coaches aren't the ones who determines the roster, who else should? The fans?

I'm not trying to battle with you about this, I think you're every bit entitled to you opinion as anyone else. But, whoever is deciding for the Rangers roster knows a whole lot more than me. Chytil in their opinion beat out Anderson, not just once but twice. I want them both to succeed, but I'm not going to base my opinion on their play on 16 and 7 NHL games. Especially when they're only 19-20 years of age, and lets face it, they don't have a ton of talent playing with them either.

I'm all for Chytil sticking. However, it seems to me and several other posters here that the Rangers are trying to prove they had this great steal at 21st in the first round. Rangers have been really good not rushing prospects. Chytil should be in the AHL. He has a lot to learn about pro hockey still. Andersson I'm not worried about. He can hold his own.
