This is the beginning of the end for him. He's been a non-factor since he got to NY. And that's being generous. He's been weak defensively, has no physical component to his game, and has done nothing to help the power play or join the rush on offense. Someone will replace him in the lineup, hopefully McQuaid very soon, and he'll never get back in.

The Rangers paid a premium price to sign him, and they'll be selling him off (trade away) for a very low return. Awful deal.

I totally agree didn’t like it when they signed him and like it even less than that after watching him play here. The guys a dog. Sooner they rid themselves of him the better.

What a nightmare homecoming this has been for him. A shame he didn't realize how good he had it in STL.

I thought we were a better team without him when he was the healthy scratch in game 3 of the season against the Sharks. Addition by subtraction.

OK, quick, name one defense man signed from another team that has worked out well. Last five years? Last 10 years? Last 20 years? Last 50 years? I'll give you Beukeboom, Lowe, Lidster and Rosival. Outside of that we have Poti, Rachunek, Redden, Morris, Yandle, etc.

I would add:

Barry Beck
Carol Vadnais
Randy Moller
David Shaw
Joe Cirella (?)
Jay Wells

Not an impressive list number wise, and none of them were the "power play QB" type that they've been endlessly hunting for.
