| Really sucks Mikey Red won't be here to see this beast that Gorton has build. Hope he can watch from above. Something tells me this is going to be the best run in Rangers history that Gorton has setup. |

| The moderators have reviewed, and we’re a little reluctant to change the forum name for purposes of honoring an individual. We've lost a handful of others in the past, and have not accorded them the same, so it feels a little disingenuous to their memories. Perhaps there’s another way to honor his memory. I can keep the Mikey thread stickied at the top. Perhaps change the name to “Mikey Red - In Memoriam,” or “Mikey Red - Forever Bleeds Blue?” Thoughts?

I agree about not renaming the board which would Create a precedent. My vote for the thread name Mikey Red- In Memoriam. The thread also appears to be competing with the off season thread. Maybe the off-season thread could be unstickied so as to remain below the Mikey-Red thread. It’s commented on enough to be number two thread. |

| A huge THANK YOU to those proposing to rename the forum in Mike’s name. Mike was never one to look for the spotlight so anyone who took the time to say a nice word...that’s more than he would ever want.
Thank You!!!

Thanks just got home yesterday.... Was there for 12 days! They say you almost lost me, too..... feeling a lot better, but still out of it.... getting better every day. There's no doubt in my mind that I was saved... not to get spiritual, but I was in bad shape. Call it Garden FAITHFUL Mikey helped too, gotta believe....
They drained 3 LITERS of pus from my lung.
They're convinced it's from vaping... so pass that on.... anyone you know who does that... beg them to stop....
Really I could've caught pneumonia from number of places, but was told to spread the word.
Stop.
Vaping.

It would be nice to honor those who were part of our community and passed away.
Could we create a thread like... I don't know... Memory Lane or OTG HOF?
And list former members who passed away (and we know of) in the first post?
Maybe with a short intro with the profile picture and whatnot...
Just thinking out loud. |

And really biggest lesson learned is to trust others more. People were telling me to go to the doctor for a long time. I dismissed the symptoms as just wear and tear from work.... This was definitely a wakeup call to take better care of myself, and stay regular with the checkups.
So that's my other advise. Listen to people that care about you.... I've been so stubborn. The whole experience has been humbling to say the least.

My advise is to quit smoking altogether. I did, and now regret ever having been a smoker. Life's too short. Why cut it short for some gratifying puffs? Regardless, glad you're okay Rob.
