Hm.. I might have to check it out then. Some people I know said it wasn't relly a good flick but I guess there taste in movies is questionable. I'll give it a watch and see what i think.

I also saw Looper. Wasn't very impressed and probably would never watch it again.

Caught "Hit and Run" With Dax and Kristen Bell. Not an overly funny movie but definitely enough funny dialog to keep me interested.

I actually thought for a movie I didn't expect much from it was good for a laugh.

2 Movies:

21 Jump Street - wow, not very funny and kinda cruel and tragic....WAY to violent/gory for a comedy. Reminded me how psyched I was to watch Bad Boys 2 only to be mislead into a overly violent/tragic/gory 2 hours.

This is 40 - Minutes too long.... seriously...has it funny moments but it's an emotional roller coaster and just when you think you can get off...it starts up again...very tiring movie...don't start late at night!!!

I saw Star Trek 2....DID NOT LIKE! Most people will though...It was much more like star wars rather than star trek....and AGAIN, there was this whole pointless glorification with excessive Violence and gore. I know that its a sci-fi movie and people get blown up and stuff...but did we really need to see and HEAR in clear detail as someone had their head crushed in front of their daughter? Also VERY VERY tiring movie to see in IMAX....the action and explosoions NEVER NEVER STOP in this movie from start to finish. It also felt empty and devoid of emotional content. If you enjoy the politics and theoretical science of star trek....stay away. It's a nonstop action movie.

Also...Khan...give me a break. Kahn is a wild beast animal like ricardo Montablac...not some English tea sipping insurance salesman.

The best part of the movie is the actors, they are amazing at recreating the original characters while at the same time modernizing them. Kirk, Spock, Checkov, Bones, scotty, even sulu. great.

While I agree the movie left a lot to be desired, I think they made a great choice casting Cumberbatch. Khan was genetically engineered to be superior to humans in every way (physically and intellectually). The only way to show that in the past was by using actors with a superior physique. Montalban was a perfect choice versus Shatner.

With a $3M budget, you don't have much to spend on clever.

Saw "Identity Theft" I know you have to suspend believe somewhat to enjoy a movie...however, this movie is sooooo far fetched it actually insulted my intelligence....and it did it for over 2 hours.

Olympus has Fallen: have to say this movie was much better than I thought it would be....definitely better than the schlock that's usually peddled in this genre.

Gerard Butler definitely establishes himself as one of the premier action box office attractions.

All I see these days is kids movies.

With that said, Monsters University was pretty good.

Man of Steel was excellent (despite the wanton destruction of property).

I couldn't make it through the first one...find the character drab at best.

"Now You See Me" -- Didn't know anything about the movie, but I kept seeing the name pop up....once I saw the IMDB rating (7.3) I decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise.

Had no idea Woody Harrelson was in it....extra treat was to find Morgan Freeman in it (can't think of one movie of his I haven't enjoyed).
