So, since there was a pleasant dicussion over some movies in another thread, I thought it would be a good idea to start something like this. Let's talk movies here, guys. What you saw, liked, didn't like and stuff. Don't tell the stories, though.

Last movie I saw was Garden State. Nice story, the main guy from the Scrubs series played the main character. Liked it.

A week ago, I was in a cinema and caught The Fountain movie. Very interesting, made me think a lot, gave me tons of questions and definitely not enough answers.

I Love "Usual Suspects" -- I am a huge mystery fan and a lot of them don't translate well into TV or movies (for instance, "Chinatown" to me was an absolute dog of a movie -- that the other reason I can never watch Nicholson again). I never saw that ending coming.

My last few movies in the theater have been a nice variety for me.

300 - Loved it. Real gory, good action, epic story. Don't see it if you want an accurate history lesson, but do see it if you'll take it for what it's worth.

Breach - Also enjoyed it, mainly because it takes place in DC and it relates to the field I work in. Basically no action but a very strong performance by Chris Cooper as Robert Hansen, the FBI agent who spied for the Russians for about 12 years.

Night at the Museum - Skeptical about this one at first, but actually ended up being funnier than I thought it would be. Ben Stiller is goofy as always, and except for a few scenes, never fails to make me laugh. Owen Wilson also did well in this feel-good holiday movie.

The Fountain - Done by the same guy who did Pi and Requiem for a Dream, this was what I expected it to be...a thought-provoking tragedy. The soundtrack was cool as well as the effects, and I had to have the movie explained to me again to get it.

I go once a year...on Black Friday. We're usually in So Carolina....the girls all go shopping, we head to the theatre...and then the golf course!

Last 3 years we saw National Treasure, Jarhead and The Departed.

I wait for the DVD's.....

The last movie I actually saw in the theatre was Independence Day -- and that was only because I was in Richmond, VA at a family reunion and I was avoiding my brother.....and I knew that's the last place they'd look for me. Previous to that, a coworker dragged me in to see Kramer vs. Kramer (most of which I missed because I went to sleep -- VERY late night, you know). I saw it later and was amazed I fell asleep.

I think Zack Braff(the guy from scrubs) actually wrote, or directed, Garden State as well.

Last movie I saw was 300. Absolutely amazing movie. Great action, graphics, direction. Everything about it was done pretty perfectly. Should be one of, if not the top movie this year.

Next movie to see is TMNT. Was a huge fan growing up and can not wait to see it this weekend.

I'm gonna go to see 300 this or next week. I'm looking forward to it. I saw SinCity and liked it.

You guys, do you like sports movies? I love the ones about football. Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, We are Marshall, The Longest Yard, Radio (one of my very favourite movies ever) etc. Anyone saw any other?

"Varsity Blues" is about as cheesy as football movies get, I'm not sure why I have a fascination with cheesy movies(maybe it from Monty Python's "The Holy Grail" but "Varsity Blues" is almost on the level of "Bring it on"(which is some of the finest, stinkyest, cheese ever made)

I like cheesy stuff also, but most of it is in the Sci-Fi genre. I've never been able to watch anything by Monty Python.

Never seen Rudy. Gotta go find it somewhere.

Just watched Pursuit of Happiness. Nice drama. Liked it. Kinda sad, though. Will Smith is really amazing in his role.

RUDY was a good movie, and speaking of football, I enjoyed Remember the Titans.

I really liked Miracle, I thought it was about time they did the story of the 1980 Olympic Team.

Remember the Titans is a great movie, as is Miracle. I still love the original Pride of the Yankees. Slapshot. Hoosiers. Rudy.

All great ones.

I was somewhat dissapointed in Miracle. It wasn't nearly as good as the HBO documentary Miracle on Ice.

good looks. It means more to us of Irish heritage it seems, but still, it's a great movie. Good story of the heart of a kid that wasnt quite as gifted as the rest.
