Worse.

Here's my gripe (and the gripe of a number of critics): I'm getting very annoyed with today's movie makers who feel they have to either change the back/present story and add totally unheard of gimmicks to sell a movie to today's movie goers. For instance, in the first five minutes we are witness to stuff that was NEVER even mentioned in any of the previous versions (even that farce with Charlie Sheen): One musketeers steps out of the water in a futuristic scuba suit, one jumps off a building ala Batman, then you have the nonsense in Leonardo da Vinci's underground cavern. The height of lunacy happened when a flying frigate dropped anchor at the French King's palace.

(Actually the candy bar wasn't that bad -- bland, yes.)

Neither were all that good GM but Horrible Bosses damn near put me to sleep. You could see where they were trying to go with it but it just didn't come across well.

I've yet to see 13 Assassins but just watched The Warriors Way. I like the way they shot the movie so it was visually a good attempt in my book and the action scene's were done well considering what they were going for but the lulls in action were almost too hard to overcome. I did watch this really late at night so maybe that contributed to me almost nodding off a bit but it wasn't terrible. Maybe I'll go back and watch again cause I did like what I saw.

On Bad Teacher I'd give it a 6 out of 10...wasn't awful, had it's moments, but it's not a classic by any means. Have to agree on Green Lantern, weakest of the Super Hero movies this past year...behind even Thor.

Horrible Bosses was sooooooo over the top it wasn't even enjoyable. That one guys voice was soooo annoying too! Hated it.
Liked Bridesmaids...I don't know why people say its a chick flick, or the hangover for women. The fat woman in the movie was such a funny actor...her lines wern't written all that funny but the way she acted them out was hilarious.

Correct MJ. I love that type of movie (I really liked Ninja Assassin if that helps paint a picture). The Opening was awesome. And for a while there was a bit of intruge but it slowed way the hell down. The last 20+ minutes of the movie are good and exciting but can't fault you for having trouble getting through the middle is was tough on me too.

watched Blitz...kinda lame and the main villian was horrendous, poor story and the "bad guy" was just lame...dont go out of ur way to see this.

Finally got around to watching this last night. Now, I've come to be a big fan of Aiden Guillen's work but this was probably THE WORST performance I've ever seen.

I'm curious GM -- which character was supposed to be the "bad guy"? I'm thinking you meant Statham.

Watched a GREAT documentary last night..Winnebago Man. I had a VHS copy when I was young. Then again I also had a copy to "The tube bar" and the Jerky boys for they came out publicly. Anyway, this was perhaps the first viral video before the internet but it was passed along by people by copying VHS tape. My copy was crap when I was young because it must have been 20th generation. The movie is so hard to explain....so here the trailer (warning..not even remotely SFW)

The dialogue in this movie was bland...kept waiting for the jokes. Didn't laugh once until about an hour or so of the movie was over.

I'm so sad to admit that Adam Sandler has offcially lost any little ounce of humor left in his body. Pretty sad when you're a comic and your co-star Al Pachino is funnier than you. This makes me sad though...I loved Sandler thoughout the years but "grown ups" was the begining of the end. Jack and Jill is the final shovel of dirt. (actully not dirt, dog s**t)

Yeah, we're gonna get that sucker yet!!!

On a serious note, it was also good to go back and read other comments and get reminders on things I'd intended to comment on before.

Pavel -- do you have access to UK tv shows (BBC, ITV, Skyone, etc.)? They have some excellent stuff.

The only access I have is via internet cable. There's really no broadcast through standard TV cables or whatsitcalled.

You have any recommendations?

Just saw Warrior, what a great movie. Tom Hardy really does a great job, he is an unstoppable force like a lion let out of his cage. Makes me even more excited to see the new Batman and see how he plays Bane.

Somethings I've been watching lately and my opinions:

Burn Notice: I've always caught episodes here and there but never caught the full story so I didn't watch it often. Well, Netflix added the series (up to season 4) and I'm glad. I really like this series. Plenty of twists, a fun cast, and plenty of entertaining action. I've watched through all of Netflix and still catch reruns on TV and enjoy. Recommended

White Collar: Another show I really like now on Netflix. It's a very interesting show. Well written IMO, funny, clever. Recommended.

Sons of Anarchy: Well, I had seen this come up on TV and it never interested me. I always changed off the show. I had at least 6 or 7 people tell me I had to watch this show after it came up on Netflix. I figured that was enough for me to give it a shot... I couldn't stop watching. Every episode is a cliffhanger, every twist in the story leaves you wanting more, and when they deliver, boy do they deliver. Every person I've talked to that has seen the show had become a fan. I can't wait for the new season. The main characters are viscous but real. People can relate to them because of the family/club/friends come first attitude I believe a lot of people have.

Warrior: I had my doubts on whether this would of been a good movie or not and all I can say is I really liked it. I found it to drag a little during certain parts but over all a good movie.

The Sitter: Had it's moments but plenty of lulls in this ones. Couple of good jokes can't make up for the rest of the lackluster movie IMO.

I think White Collar is an excellent show.

I have tried several times to watch Sons of Anarchy -- I find it to be a bore.

I like Burn Notice, but it's gone the way of Prison Break: the parade of people "forcing/blackmailing" him into working for them has gotten tedious. It's rumored that Season 6 will be the last. Hopefully, they will allow him to be a full spy again for that season.

Currently watching the second Holmes with Downey. I am underwhelmed....I always thought he was a bad choice for the role.
