Subject: Cranky Paint in the Ass

It's kinda been a day of reflection for me here today as I sit here and waiting for my biopsy reports to come back from the hospital, this has been my 3rd colorectal surgery of the year (since last January) and I realize I might have been a cranky pain in the ass this year, I can only try to justify that with the fact that i've HAD a cranky pain in my ass all year.

I especially want to appoligize to Datel, Mjolnir, and coach as I think there was a lot of times I went over board with both of them and the conversation got especially heated. I think we all should embraces our many similarities rather then constantly be at each other throats about one player. Starting tonight I'm going to ignore ever Avery comment wether good or bad. I hope many of you take this approach too. The only time his name should be brought up by any of us at this point is news updates.

I think the board has kinda been suffering because of where people sit with Avery. A lot of the GDTs that used to have al least 9 10 pages now frequently have 1 or 2. I think people are shying away from the board right now because its such a frustrating debate no matter where you sit. But bottom line, it shouldn't even be coming up in discussion anymore at this point. I'm making the effort to stop so I hope everyone else is ready too.

here's to hoping Avery gets traded for the benefit of both sides.

I hope everything is OK with you, first and foremost.

Avery, like Sather before him, Lundqvist last year and early this year Torts, is a subject that people have very strong views on. I guess we all tried to express our opinions and tried hard to make others see what we saw and thought.

We are fans....fans of the team and certain players more than others. It's a fan's nature to express what he feels.

It's all good, Sark, not to worry.

I guess I'll join in on the Avery ignore, too.

Count me in as well.

Sark -- I wish you only the best.

Despite our many disagreements over our time here (some heated, some not), we were always able to get past them and I never thought things would be different this time. As Rick will tell you, I can be a veritable curmudgeon but I eventually come around.

Rangers fans are a passionate, heated group to start with. Be well, mon ami!!!

All the best Sarkie!!!

As you can see, the wise old sages (and in Sammye's case....VERY OLD) understand that fun debate is the way to go, and at the end of the day we all want the same thing. Too many "young'ins" on here that try to take it to a different level.

Keep the faith....we got your back (so to speak.......)

Do agree with you about lack of real (game) talk.

Sark, wish you got healthy yesterday already. That's the first and most important thing.

The Avery stuff...it's a mess. I admit I was part of the problem. In general, I couldn't care less. I care about the Rangers, not Avery.

However, the ridiculousness of some (not yours) ideas expressed on the topic got the best of me and I added some heat myself.

I just hope we can all leave it behind. So I'm joining the Avery blockade right away.

Get well, man.

No worries sark. Hope you get better.

I've pretty much removed myself from the Avery talk for the most part, pretty much everything to be said has been said 3 times over. I don't mind heated discussion from anyone, as long as they can justify their arguments. I think both sides of the Avery issue have very valid arguments and I've just come to the realization that whatever my interpretation of the situation, my opinion isn't going to alter reality. Nor am I going to change anyone else's opinions. I appreciate (almost) everyone's contributions here. There'd be no point in me being part of this community if everyone shared my opinion.

As far as the GDT - I wish I could participate more but more often than not I don't get to watch games live. I have two young kids and game time is usually kid time. So I watch it off DVR most games, or if there's no time for that I catch Rangers in 60 or the highlights on NHL.com. The few GDT I have been a part of I do really enjoy, kind of like sitting at a bar with some other regulars and enjoying a game together.

Feel better Sark,

Avery is no angel, I don't think that for a second, if anything he's probably a big pain in the ass. I also don't think the Rangers handled it very well. Last time I'll bring it up except in jest in which case I will use the

Part of being on the message board is having an opinion. Sure things get heated and whatnot so I do think it's a good idea to call a truce(so to speak) once in a while.

I enjoy the GDT's, but I find myself watching the thread sometimes more than the game, so I just join the thread pretty much immediately post game. But I do read the thread to enjoy the in-game comments.

Sark, you should bring back the voting you used to run for best in game comments. Some of those used to be hysterical.

I realize some people have family obligations and other circumstances, so the postings on GDT have really gone down. I also agree the primary thing is to watch and enjoy the game.

But if everyone were in that category, there would be no posts during the game.

I enjoy seeing other posters comments during the game.

In between periods and TV timeouts are good times to add your comments

Got the results back from biopsy. Some anal dysplasia, just like the first two times. That's a pre-cancerous condition on the cellular level but doesn't mean I have cancer yet. So you guys are going to have to put up with me for awhile longer It's about what I expected. Getting some time off work and strong pain killers which are nice consolation prizes I guess. Can't wait for the game tonight!

But I agreed to put it on hold. And I think we're all better for it.

I am curious, though, how many losses will it take for us to be at our throats again

Yup....the team is still in fist place in the Division and Conference, but it's all just smoke and mirrors, and because and just in case we didn't understand it, the sky is falling.

Actually, you'd only need one line of -- -- , since is really superman in disguise and provides so much energy and scoring would never have to come off the ice.....and since would draw as many penalties as commits, then could be on the penalty kill and the power play.

My stuff is still listed dysplasia, basicly a pre-cancerous condition...thats why they keep giving me surgeries. But I won't have another one for at least 6 months I don't think....thank god!!! It's weird..even though it's internal I can't tell when It's getting worse and I'm going to get cut up again. I'll spare you all the gory details but lets just say it's not colon related...it's the more painful lower end of business. It's all natural healing too as they can't "stitch the area" so I miss like 4 weeks of work after the procedures.

The pain medication they give me is both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing when they give it to me and a cruse when they don't.
Thanks for everyones best wishes. I'll probablly be around more again as I'm feeling better.
