I have a question regarding Kreider. Say the Rangers win the Stanley Cup (not arguing that here), would his name be added to it? I thought there was a rule that stated a player needed to play X number of games with the team in order for their name to be added. It would suck if they won it and his name wasn't added. So far he has been a noticable piece of the team.

Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I believe it is up to the team/players as to who gets put on the Cup. I'm not sure though...

You need to appear in 1 Stanely Cup final game.

So Sauer wouldn't get on it if we won?

That's correct. It's either 40 or so regular season games, or at least 1 Finals game. That's the minimum for automatic engraving. There are exceptions, such as with Marc Savard where the Bruins appealed for his name to be added even though he didn't meet the minimum criteria. This would be the case with Sauer. Let's just hope it's even a matter of discussion though

I shouldn't reply, but just to make it clear, I don't take sides. You are all free to discuss whatever you feel like, as long as it's in the proper thread and personal attacks don't go overboard. The present topic was derailed by another which has a large dedicated and unmoderated thread.

He said, Off topic posts have been removed — it is as simple as that.

There is no reason to question his motives. And if you do have a question on his motives do not think he has earned the respect to ask him privately.

I think you ought to apologize publically, since publically was the forum you chose to question him.

You don't remove posts that we spent time typing. You just move them to other thread. There is an Avery thread there. Respect has nothing to do with this. Yes, he gets the credit for creating game threads. Thank you 35. Happy?

Sorry but your bias towards Avery is clear. If these posts were about how great Hank is, you would never remove it. Why? Because I've seen many threads before where the topic is way off and no removal is done.

Posts get removed all the time.

And it does have to do with respect. Unlike you thirty-five gave an objective answer. You chose to publically question him. You showed him no respect.

You'll be surprised to learn that I actually like Avery. At least when he was on the team. That said, he's a very contentious subject and any discussion involving Avery always devolves into personal attacks. We have a huge dedicated Avery thread where this can be discussed and fought over ad nauseum, and it has been, so let's stick to that one and leave other threads be.

I'll clean this thread up later, just a heads-up.

Me and Coachrd don't have the time to retype all these stuff in the Avery thread. All I wanted is for you to move them, if you thought they are off topic. Nothing else.

It is one thing to take and move a whole thread that is a duplicated topic. That is accomplished with a few clicks.

It is possible to move individual posts which are imbedded in one thread and move them to another thread.

But each individual post needs to be moved individually. And the way the administrative tools work it takes 7 steps to move each post.

I can appreciate that you took time to post -- but the amount of posts here which thirty-five deemed to be off topic was significant. It had over-taken the thread.

I think the expectation that he would take the amount of time necessary to individually move all those off-topic posts to anther thread is a misplaced expectation -- especially on a work day.

I'll teach you how to do it, so it will not take a lot of time.

1) You make a copy of this thread with a different name
2) You merge the copy of this thread into Avery thread.
3) This thread has only a few posts that are on topic. So you go to Avery thread and delete posts that used to belong to this thread.

That would be a major fail on your part.

The administrative menus do not allow for copying a thread.

Sorry for taking the time to try and explain to you the way things work.
