since the Rangers team is built on speed, Rick Nash just does not seem to fit.. to me most of the time he very slow. and i dont think that has to do with concussions..

would the Rangers entertain a trade like this:

Rangers send Rick Nash, Carl Hagelin, Danny Kristo to Jets.
Jets send Evander Kane, Scott Kosmachuk, Joshua Morrissey with conditional picks: 1st in 2015 (if Jets make playoffs), 3rd, 4th (if Jets miss playoffs) to Rangers...

Rangers get a younger player who has issues due to being a bit immature but is more exciting to watch and isnt afraid to play an in your face game with speed... Kane would fit this team more than Nash has...

Why would Winnipeg even consider this...?

None of this makes sense. Use speed as the reason to move Nash, not the fact he is absolutely pathetic in the playoffs. And then even though speed is your goal, also include the fastest person in the league, who was terrific in the playoffs, because?

A Nash for Kane straight up deal makes more sense in the first place. And the second you start talking about conditional picks, in your like 8 piece trade, and ask "would they consider a deal like this"? Thats WAY too ****ing specific. I mean might as well give the day it would happen...

And the fact that draft picks would be coming the Rangers way? So we are rebuilding? Lets trade Carl Hagelin as just some fluff in a deal to swap Nash for E. Kane, lose Carl Hagelin and get some draft picks we won't use for years. Because THATS how you get back to the Stanley Cup Finals...

And Nash was slow last year, unless he was hustling back after a 4 deke move didn't work and now he has to make it look like he has value. But when he has the puck, he becomes slow-motion man.

so you acknowledge that this team is built on speed, then turn around and suggest that the rangers trade their fastest, and most dynamic forward, who is coming out of a break out play off performance, Not to menton he is one of the few guys left that can PK and play on any line and be a threat...

got to love it.

Outside of scoring alot, Nash was actually pretty good in the playoffs, but bottom line is they won't deal him, especially with his concussion issues and contract he wouldn't bring total value anyhow. I'd love to have Kane, but with the lack of elite prospects and tight cap space it'll be tough to do right now.

I don't know why everyone gets so uppity about far fetched trade proposals. Seems to me the ones to really debate would be the ones that may happen.

Would I trade Nash for Kane, one for one? Just based on cap hit and player, yes. I have no idea what baggage either or both carry outside of their on ice games.

there is absolutely zero chance that Winnipeg would move Kane in a deal for Nash and there is absolutely zero chance that Nash would waive his NTC to go to Winnipeg

while it is great that a bunch of yahoos on a Rangers message board would be willing to trade Nash for Kane, it doesn't pass the sniff test in terms of something that could believably happen

**** why not make up trade threads about getting Crosby and Karlsson, maybe Toews and Kopitar as well, that would be a fantastic group of centers to have

ridiculous trade threads aren't somehow better just because they aren't the most ridiculous thing people could possibly imagine

Since the Rangers are RW heavy and short on top end centers

How about Nash for Kopitar?

Who cares? What's the big deal what trade proposals are made on a message board?

When someone is out there trying to profit from making crap up, sure I can see the morality issue but here? I am somehow doubting J Orts is just trying out what may and what may not work for his pay per view blog or trying use us as a focus group study for his next news paper article.
