If we lose this one there are only two reasons why,

1) Greiss stands on his head and wills his team to victory
2) We get outcoached.

The venerable Walter Tkachuk. The job he did checking and defending Trottier in the '79 series was the stuff of legend and lore.

The Isles got crushed on Tuesday by the Leafs. They will be in ill humor at the start tonight. They have been successful of late against the Rangers by being physical. They finish every check, dish out punishment in front of their own net and in their zone, and they crash the Rangers net. Ladd and Chimera have woken up, giving them some secondary scoring along with Anders Lee and Strome. Speaking of Lee, he slashed, punched, cross-checked and verbally challenged the entire Rangers team the last time they played. I'd expect him to do the same tonight. It will be interesting to see what the Rangers do in response.

The Rangers are the better team. That doesn't mean that they will win tonight given the styles and roster makeup of these teams.

Rangers being pushed around and losing every faceoff. I wish we would package stepan with staal for draft picks and rid ourselves of the soft loser mentality this team has. New leadership is needed.

Stepan, staal, mcdonagh, girardi, vesey are not my favorites. Leadership of this team is awful, without their aging goalie they would be fighting with the islanders for the last playoff spot.

I dont see how mcdonagh is an all star, he is awful. Also a terrible captain. Never stands up for teammates, never makes that big game changing play captains make. Why is he the captain? Might as well make girardi the captain, hes an older version of mcdonagh

I don't agree that McDonagh is awful, I actually think he is by far our best defenseman. He isn't what you would call a "vocal" captain, but he leads by example.

I do agree with the others on your list of non-favorites, except for Vesey. You have to give a rookie some time.
