Pirri and Buch are in and out of the lineup....Miller, Hayes, Grabs, Zuc, Kreider, Nash, Duchense, Landeskog ....Not a bad 3 lines I like Pirri, not sure about Buch, Stepan is talented just needs to go, you can see it on the ice, Zib is not all what hes been cracked up be...hence Ottawa giving up on him. that would still give Colorado a base to build around with Mckinnon and Barrie. I think its a fair trade

Is offense the problem, or the defense?

This doesn't help the defense at all.

Yes you are right We need all kinds of help on D. Who can we get? Shattenkirk isnt the answer, definitely not at the expense of assests. But those 8 guys making up 3 lines would be tough to deal with for any team

Lets hope we can chalk this one up to the fact they played a hard game yesterday and just dont have it today

Its actually better for the Rangers to finish as the #1 wildcard team..Let the Metropolitan division kill each other, and the Rangers can play against the weaker Atlantic division.

Playing Montreal or Ottawa doesn't make it better for us.

Columbus is the wild card starting today....They have 7 more points than 1st place Montreal....Another great idea by Bettman

Dont see how mcdonagh gets a free pass. All my friends who are fans of the following teams: pens, flyers, wild, red wings, bruins, avs all say he is awful.

I agree

Can Staal be benched for this game aND going forward? He's a f'in horror show out there

If AV wouldn't bench The Boil (who is one the worse "defenders" to don Ranger blue), don't expect Staal or Girardi to be out of the lineup.
I get it but at least Boyle brought something else to the ice.

Not sure what our record is against all four teams this year, but I would still take my chances against a weaker division. The Metropolitan is by far a better division.

Oh, I absolutely understand what you are saying....but for some reason, we tend to match up better against the Met teams.

Then again, the whole team needs to raise its compete level no matter who we play.

Every year for as far back as I can remember, Rangers have been looking for and not finding a PP QB. Keith Yandle, Dan Boyle, Brad Richards, Bryan McCabe, Vladimir Malakhov, Sandis Ozolinsh, etc. Year after year - SSDD. Until the PHILOSOPHY of how to run a PP changes, nobody will make it work. Stop regrouping behind your net. Attack off the transition. Bodies in front. Shoot, baby, shoot. Simple, yet the Rangers persist in their "system" that is doomed to failure.

Mjolnir was correct about four players behind the net. That is a mite mistake easily corrected IF players are listening and coaches see it.

The philosophy has changed. Unless the coaches between Ozolinsh and Yandle were that much similar? I don't know, but there has been many coach changes between now and then.

That said, I've wanted Scott Arniel replaced for a while now

Just an FYI....so far this year, our records against these teams are:

Caps - 2-0
Pens - 1-2

Habs - 0-2
Sens - 1-1

The popular opinion is to want to play the Atlantic teams.....yet, we play better against the top two Met teams. Doesn't matter which division is "weaker".
