I hate the ****ing Habs. Hate 'em. This is a deep rooted, festering and white-hot hatred for this team that developed in the mid-70's when I was a kid. Watching those games from The Forum on Saturday nights as Henri Richard would crush the Rangers with heart-breaking goals. As Dryden stood there all pompous and smug, behind a defense corps that could keep the Soviets out of Poland. Fast forward to '79, Cup Finals; Gainey, Tremblay, LaFleur, Langway, Lemaire, Robinson, Savard; them winning Game 4 in OT at MSG, tackling any Ranger who got near Dryden. HATE them.

Fast forward to '86, some gangly rookie named Roy doing the impossible, again in OT at MSG, literally stealing a game from the Rangers ("there's never a 7th Avenue cop when you need one, Jim". Chelios, Claude Lemiuex, Nilan, Skrudland, the ****ing linesman that tripped James Patrick in Game 3 that led to the winning goal in OT. HAAAAATE Them.

The Forum is no longer in use, tonight they play at some monstrosity called the Bell Centre. Dumb bastards can't even spell correctly. That goal horn, almost as obnoxious as a screechy Isles fan yelling "1940" back in the day. Those red jerseys bringing back horrible memories from my otherwise happy childhood. HAAAAAAAAATE THEM!

So Holla at your Boys in da Blueshirts tonight! (yeah, they're wearing the whites tonight, but they're still our Blueshirts)

If we do get a chance to meet at the playoffs (I'm still amazed we sat so close to each other all this time -- we could probably look each other in the eye across the aisle), I'm going to wear my Canadians jersey on purpose!!!

If they make it to Game 6 I may have a shot. I'll look for the jersey, and still buy you a drink.

I always go to the Wee, but they aren't giving out free stuff. Can't wait for my one size fits all XL T-shirt that I will probably never wear.

Seriously, it's my daughter's birthday, and this is what she wanted. Hope the Rangers give her a good present.

- Home teams winning game 1 went on to win series 7 out of 10

So that means the team that starts with home ice wins 9 out of 15 series. Being that we are better on the road, I'd say we are 50/50.

**** you Bunny Laroque for getting hurt during warmups before game 2 of the 79 finals! **** you Pierre Larouche for psyching out yourself and your teammates in 86' by over rating the forum and the ****ing ghosts. **** you Mark Osborne for having as wide open a net as Miko Leinonen did 2 yrs before (both in ot) and decided to hit Patrick Roy instead of the ocean staring in front of you! **** you Habs fans for whining and moaning about Kreider-you are a bunch of frogs and are almost as spoiled as the lawng giland islander fans I grew up with! **** you Ranger defense IF you don't get your heads out of your asses-start playing real defense and hockey for first time all season and get some pride in that jersey you're wearing!! And most of ALL **** you Dolan for ripping the heart out of the Rangers--pricing out the real fan and turning MSG into the quietest arena in sports!! LETS GO RANGERS!!!

Ahhhhh, such sweet music to my ears. Good one, bro.

That was a wicked backhander by Glass. Top corner! Love Lindberg in this series, player to watch along with Vesey.

Habs are playing physical, Rangers having trouble making passes and getting space to make plays with the puck. That goal by Glass settles the crowd down and gives the Rangers early momentum

I'm tellin' you guys, Girardi is gonna make a statement in this series. He looks healthy and ready to rumble a bit.

Ott is a piece of crap, he absolutely runs Lundqvist and no penalty.

Holden is awful. He shouldn't see another game this series while Klein is health and able to play.

Holden is a trainwreck and should sit for Klein--Mika is ****ting himself every time he's near puck. Smith and Nash were tackled and no calls---we need to stop giving them chances from our giveaways and lack of skating or clearing the puck--henrik looks sharp
