The first goal tonight will be telling. Not that the team who scores first wins the game for sure, but if the Rangers get that first goal the Habs will have to start thinking and getting in their heads a little. If the Habs score it they will settle in some and feel more comfortable I'd think.

You have to believe Montreal will win tonight, because they know their season is almost on the line. If you go down 2-0 in the NHL playoffs the %'s are WAY stacked against you to come back and win 4 of 5 games to win the series. So I am sure the Habs will be extra jacked up tonight. Going to be a tough game for the NYR to win. But if we can score the first goal and put some doubt in Montreal's heads anything is possible.

Henrik is in the Habs heads big time, the longer the shutout streak goes the more their buttholes will pucker. The pressure to win at home will be fierce, the fans may even turn on the Habs making things worse for them. The Rangers need to weather the first 10 minutes of intensity that the Habs will bring. After that, the Rangers will have the playoff experience and momentum. The Habs need a lucky puck bounce or deflection to beat Henrik, the King looks locked in right now.

Expect Girardi to continue his "rebirth". Skjei/Smith are solid, Staal/Holden not so much. Look for Hayes-Miller-Grabner to have an impact tonight. Where's Waldo, I mean Kreider, needs to get involved. He looked spooked by the atmosphere last game. He should accept being Public Enemy #1 in Montreal, embrace it even, and make it hurt even more by hitting and maybe scoring a goal.

If the Rangers score one on the PP the Habs are cooked. Nah nah naaaaahhh nah, hey hey, goodbye.

HOLLA!!!

Rangers had the opportunity to ice the puck on that goal so Lundqvist could get a stick, had control of the puck long enough to do it

Big stop there by Lundqvist after Girardi flubs the one-timer on the Montreal blueline and Byron sprung on the breakaway. Good work by Zuccarello to come back and put a little pressure on him

Kreider is struggling in a lot of ways. He takes that pass at centre cleanly and dumps it in and no goal.

Miller was very good that period. Somebody get Kreider a coffee and wake his ass up.

Besides the money issues, Zib for Brass was so they could compete in these types of games. Zip needs to bury a goal and start asserting himself physically.
