Why is Farnham on this team...there is no place for him

if they really wanted a forward that could be a somewhat enforcer, can skate, and has some offensive skills they would have signed Ryan White.

They really did all do well, and made a case for themselves... Can't forget Graves. The Russian did good, too. Paul Carey stood out aboit as much as Letteiri did.

I don't think DeAngelo, Pionk, Berezgalov, Graves, Kampfer for that matter on the backend and Chytil, Lettieri, Tambellini, did anything to not deserve another game. But you have to start whacking some guys, so there are going to be some casualties that might surprise us at some point in time.

Graves has been by far the best of the young kids on defense. If Gorton would get off his ass and deal Holden, he could then send Staal to the minors and go with a couple kids on the 3rd pairing. Or Put Smith with one and Skjei with the other.

Smith DeAngelo

Would be nice. There absolutely has to be some loyalty to Staal, though. He's earned it, and until he's traded will get it.

And are you just going to cancel Staal's no movement clause? You can't send him to the minors. Come on GM, you have to be better than that.

2 cents from nobody ....
Pionk has been as advertised. A very good pickup. At some point near-term he'll contribute.
Graves looks steady but if he is a step or two out of position it will be a wide open door. Some roster moves need to made for him to stick.
Holden has picked up where he left off. He is now a waiver candidate a best.
Stall looked shockingly slow. He is a long term vet and only a single game but boy he looked sloppy. He will be here and hopefully reduced minutes and veteran savvy works.
The 2 Russian D-men look ..... ok ....maybe.
Deangelo ...trying too hard to awe everyone.... Will get eaten alive in an NHL game. Hopefully he is just trying to exploit opposing prospects to make an impression. So far ...so what!!
The entire Defense need to forget about end-to-end rushes and more discipline game.
Lettieri has played better than both Chytil and Andersson. not playing against full NHL squads but he has looked like he belongs
Vesey /Buch look ready.

The games so far ... nearly unwatchable .... woman's field hockey has more flow... face-off violations ...pleeeeze ... How about just giving puck possession ... creating separation depending on area of the ice face-off occurs. Slashing and stick fouls are somewhat understandable but sticks do tend to hit each other in a F$#$#ing hockey game

For starters, there is no way Pionk is 5'11. He's lucky if he's 5'9. He looks like a midget out there. People are getting all stiff for him because he's a righty. Who cares if he is knocked off the puck with ease which is what he's showed in the pre-season. "Lettieri has played better than both Chytil and Andersson." Put down the crack. Lettieri has been awful. Must have heard 5 people watching both games including myself state how he sucked and was a waste to play. I have no idea why Fontaine who was one of the best fowards on the ice hasn't seen another game yet. Typical, dumbassssss AV.

First shift last night Graves threw a huge hit. That already will put him ahead of the rest of our defenseman for about the first 10 games. 1 to 0(as a unit). People better get over this dumbassssss fascination of penciling in DeAngelo and Pionk because they are righties. Both are midgets who can't hold up vs bigger forwards in the corner. It's obvious unless you are watching the pre-season with your eyes closed.
