Chytil needs some nurturing and support, he’s 18 and has some language issues. It’s a process with young players in any league. This asinine assumption he’s going to jump in and be a big factor is unrealistic and far beyond the expectations of the Rangers I’m sure. For bonehead to substitute Desharnais for him is beyond stupid. Chytil is on the team for a reason and impressed enough of the pickers to be in NYC. To be benched in his first game without even getting his feet wet is so double mint flavour like. Sorta like McIlrath in reality doing nothing to deserve being benched yet he was and then ran out of town. Chytil has the kind of offence generating ability that might have got something going playing his regular shift. You have to put that kid between Nash and Zuccarello and leave him there and while your at it get Desharnais off the second pp unit and get this kid on it. That’s the only way you find out what he can do.

Chytil is the last player anyone should have expectations of. If he is a no show like Duclair was three years ago, nothing lost. If he improves and makes it past the 9 games, it's a bonus.

Let's have expectations of our high paid defensemen shutting down their speedy forwards. I'm fearful of this not being the case, and expect a high scoring game.
