BACK-TO-BACK
The Rangers will conclude their second of 11 back-to-back sets during the 2017-18 season in tomorrow's contest. The Blueshirts have posted a 1-0-0 record in the second game of back-to-back sets thus far this season and registered an 11-5-0 record in the second game of a back-to-back set last season. New York's 11 back-to-back sets this season are tied for the fewest among Eastern Conference teams. In their last 99 back-to-back sets (since the start of the 2010-11 season), the Rangers have posted a 65-28-6 record in the second game of the set.

HOME COOKING
New York begins its season-long, six-game homestand tomorrow. The homestand is the Rangers' longest since their franchise-record, nine-game homestand from Dec. 7, 2013 - Dec. 23, 2013. The Rangers play 10 of their first 13 games, as well as 13 of their first 18 games, this season at MSG.

10-IN-10
The Rangers are playing 10 home games in October this season. Since the start of the 2015-16 season, New York has posted an 11-4-1 record at MSG in October.

BOUNCE BACK
Since Dec. 22, 2015, the Rangers have posted a 41-13-4 record in the game following a loss (either regulation loss or overtime/shootout loss). New York posted a 23-7-4 record in games following a loss last season.

WHAT A LINE
The Chris Kreider-Mika Zibanejad-Pavel Buchnevich line has registered 11 points (five goals, six assists) thus far this season, and at least one of the three players has notched a point on seven of the team's 11 goals in 2017-18.

AV SQUAD
Alain Vigneault leads all NHL head coaches in wins since 2006-07 (506). Vigneault has earned 615 career wins as an NHL head coach, and he is two wins away from tying Jacques Lemaire for 13th place on the league's all-time wins list among head coaches.

KING HENRIK
Henrik Lundqvist earned his 62nd career NHL shutout on Oct. 8 vs. Montreal, passing Turk Broda for sole possession of 16th place on the NHL's all-time shutouts list. Lundqvist enters the game with 406 career NHL wins, and he is one win away from tying Glenn Hall for ninth place on the NHL's all-time wins list. Lundqvist has allowed two goals or fewer in each of the last three games, posting a 1-2-0 record, along with a 1.36 GAA, a .959 SV% (94 saves on 98 shots), and 1 SO in the three games. Lundqvist has started both games of a back-to-back set 79 times in his NHL career; he has posted a 51-21-7 record, along with a 2.02 GAA, a .930 SV%, and 9 SO in the second game of those back-to-back sets.

PAV'S PARTY
Ondrej Pavelec made 21 saves in his Rangers debut on Oct. 7 at Toronto. He is 18 saves away from 10,000 in his NHL career, and he would become the third Czech-born goaltender to make at least 10,000 saves in NHL history (along with Dominik Hasek and Tomas Vokoun).

MIKA MAGIC
Mika Zibanejad recorded a goal/point in each of the Rangers' first four games in 2017-18, tallying five goals in the four contests. Zibanejad's four-game goal streak was a career-high, and he became the second player in Rangers history to record a goal in each of the team's first four games of a season (Rick Nash - 2014-15). He leads the NHL in power play goals (four), is tied for the NHL lead in power play points (four), and is tied for second in goals (five) this season. Zibanejad's four power play goals are tied for his career-high.

WELCOME MATS
Mats Zuccarello tallied five points (one goal, four assists) through the first two games this season and became the first Ranger to register five points in the first two games of a season since Bernie Nicholls in 1990-91.

SHATT STATS
Kevin Shattenkirk registered two points (one goal, one assist), including his 300th career NHL point, on Oct. 7 at Toronto. He has tallied four points (one goal, three assists) this season, all on the power play, and he is tied for the NHL lead in power play points in 2017-18.

We don't have a 4th line....

I hope he goes with

Kreider Zibanejad Buchnevich
Nash Hayes Zuccarello
Grabner Miller....

The rest of the offense doesn't matter

McDonagh Shattenkirk
Skjei Smith
Staal...

The rest of the defense doesn't matter, but I'd like DeAngelo given another chance.

Hank is right 100%, what's with ALL THE TURNOVERS?!? Those kill you, those always end up in the back of your net. Did these players just now start playing hockey? Fix this NOW.

Was gonna wait 10 games before I started calling for AV's head. But the McDonagh - Holden pairing while benching DeAngelo was too much. Especially when combined with Chytil being sent down after playing about 8 minutes in the NHL. But Fast is back so all is well.

How do you know when a coach is losing a team? They look like **** at the start of the game. The Rangers are young, fast and have some size. They SHOULD be starting every game with energy, hitting and crashing the net. They haven't.

The Garden faithful should be interesting to listen to if this team is trailing in the third.

PV! where ya been?

Watching from afar and holding my tongue. AV shoulda been fired after last year's playoffs, I was willing to wait and see.

I love it when the coach says that he doesn't know what the team's identity is. Gee, wonder why. But hey, they're getting "some good looks", so all is well.

PV! where ya been?

Watching from afar and holding my tongue. AV shoulda been fired after last year's playoffs, I was willing to wait and see.

I love it when the coach says that he doesn't know what the team's identity is. Gee, wonder why. But hey, they're getting "some good looks", so all is well.
