No to Bozak.Does Buke have a son?

We need a good backup goalie to give us a lift when we are in crisis like Talbot & Ranta did for us in the past.

Lucky? Come on.... The PP has been good. The team has been good.

Anisimov scored a hatty, and The Rangers had a goal taken away.... The 6 game winning streak was broken, so they lose one game, and it's back to the same crap.

Trade Lundqvist, fire everybody, the sky is falling.

Back to being a .500 team, which is what they are. Which is what they have been since last March. Stop seeing the glass as half full. There are too many teams that are better than us. After watching last night's game, do you honestly feel we can compete with the likes of COLUMBUS? They are better than us. Goalie on out.

When will this GM wake up and understand.

Giving AV a defenseman like Shatt (Boyle, Yandle) is a mistake doomed to failure. He terribly misuses the player and eventually the player gets frustrated with trying to play a style that he isn't comfortable with. By season's end the player is a mess and traded away or released with little to no return on investment.

The Rangers were in need of a physical, stay at home defenseman to pair with MDonagh. Instead, they spend $$$ to get the complete opposite and hand it over to Gum-Gum the Dum-Dum.

In Boyle’s case it cost the Rangers flexibility for Stralman. Yandle a veritable bag of goodies. Luckily Shattenkirk only money. Although Shattenkirks value at this point in time has already surpassed Yandle and Boyle’s. Some coaches get away with blaming the players longer than they should.

Cry about the future under Smith if you want...but for oldtime fans, he delivered something that he gets a lifetime pass for. He wasn't satisfied when they weren't performing, and he did what he did to get the team going.

And all those guys he traded away....how much did those guys win? Weight won two cups, but wasn't a major factor in those...he certainly wouldn't have led us to anything. You gonna cry over Amonte, Norstrom, et al? Certainly solid guys, but I'll take the cup.

Weight, Amonte, Marchant, Nordstrom, Leetch, Kovalev, Richter, Graves, Book and Darren Langdon, .....a HELL of a start to build a team around....We would of won the Cup in 94 anyway...we were the best team.....Smith OBLITERATED the future.....Ferarro brothers? Ken Gernander? Barry Richter?

Smith sucks also because he let Keenan push him around to make all those stupid ass trades. Would you trade Brady Skjei for players in their 30's toay? ....Thats how we traded Nordstrom who went on to be the Captain of the Kings for 10 years and a top pair Defenseman

So, you are one of those guys who can tell the future? We would have won anyway? Even if we didn't trade for the guy who scored two double-OT goals against the Devils?

We were the best team? Pretty sure we were the best team two years prior also....how did that work out for us?

You're not bitching about giving up Steven Rice, Troy Malette, Bernie Nichols, David Shaw, Louie Debrusk, etc. weren't those guys gonna win a cup for us too?

You're crying about guys that became captains of other teams? Who gives a sh!t? We win a cup, and you are crying about trading Todd f ucking Marchant for Christ sake....

Troy Mallete? LMAO Bernie Nichols ...another scrub....I liked David Shaw...especially when he got 12 games for hitting Mario.....Louie Debrusk wasn't a hockey player...tough M fer tho. Those guys werent gonna be around later in the 90's anyway........... I had no doubt they were gonna win it in 94...You could tell Weight and Amonte were the real deal....Todd Marchant played in the NHL for 10 years......We could of competed for more Cups as the 90's went on instead of watching the Titanic sink

Totally agree Mandar ! you couldn't have said it better, I would make those trades a million times over if it brings us a cup, that is why we play right? Remember why we brought in Mactavish ? because we couldn't win a freakin face-off ! and Tikk-Speak was just the agitator we needed and by the way held is own as a scorer too. ever go to a game where tikkenen is in the crowd now? the garden still goes crazy when they iso him on the scoreboard screen. and by the way Mikey, NO ONE thought the Rangers were good enough to win the cup before the 94 season began, in fact Vegas had them at 20-1 dogs to win it all, I know because I put down a hunge and took home a nice fat stack..."trade away the future"... really Mikey? in professional sports the future is NOW, there is no tomorrow, second place is for loosers... I understand. And maybe they would have won anyway. But we don't know, and when your sports teams haven't won much people are reluctant to disparage the one they got. All of my teams combined have 5 Championships since I've been a fan and I was 10 when the Mets won. The next 4 came in a 4 year span for me. So all my fan glory was between '92 and '95. While it's better than a Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Ranger fan, it's still a small window of winning.

Today you'd be crazy to trade that much youth for age. The only way to sustain in the NHL is to get rid of older players and continually inject youth into the team. You can't afford anything else now. You can't pay more than 3 or 4 high end players.

Of course you do that trade....You are not giving up anything...Also when you go to a playoff game...they do a Steffan Matteau interview from the Blue seats...Its pathetic...94 is over...forget about it...Matteau was a Ranger for 3 Months. Of course the idea is to win the SC now...How has that worked out for the last 77 Years?

Well the moron has finally done the obvious which should have been done when Miller first started playing center.
Kreider, Zib (when he’s back.) Buch
Grabner Hayes Fast or Vesey
Nash Miller Zucc
Carey Nieves Fast Vesey.
I think Vesey should be with Hayes and Grabner, and Fast on the fourth line and that sets up the penalty killing better. Vesey doesn’t kill much and it sets it up for Nieves and Fast to pair up and Hayes and Grabner. Grabner didn’tt seem to be a fit with Zucc and Miller usually he was 1.5 zones ahead of them.
From what I see Miller has the potential to be the Rangers best center, and the best choice to match up against other teams best. He’s physical and can lean on the opposing center, he’s strong on the forecheck, and can dish to Nash and Zuccarello. He’s going to have a hiccup or two like last game but no more than any other of the other centres and he will get better. The kid is a stud but for whatever reason he’s a bit of a whipping boy for double mint. The kids got it, let him buck for crying out loud.
