I wonder what the fans are going to do tonight, cheer or boo Stepan (not be confused with Boo Nieves). I think if we had a decent start it would been boos. But, I'm sure there are some out there that will think we're cheering for Boo. But really booing Stepah... Oh no, now I'm cross-eyed.

He will get a standing ovation...its the new thing now...during a play stoppage ..Joe Tolleson will make an anouncement welcoming him back....People will cheer because Ranger fans are way outnumbered by Hacks who go to the games

So....you don't think the guy deserves an ovation in his first game back to a place that he played for so many years?

No...He is not Ed Giacomin or Brian Leetch....and when Giacomin and came back it was the fans that cheered him....It wasnt the PA announcer making a an announcement like they do today

It'll be funnier if the crowd doesn't have any reaction.

"Welcome back: Derek Stepan...."
*organ plays a little tune*
..... silence.....
"Once again: Derek Stepan"
*more organ*
.... maybe some laughs, but dead....

Stepan was good enough to master the fine art of looking like he was trying hard. He had to go. Just like the midget who replaced him. Av must like those types. You can bet Therrien filled his head with how good the snowman was. Therrien doesn’t have a job maybe dumbo soon won’t. In any league at any level there are guys who can play in the league, and guys who can win in the league. Dopey will never ever understand the difference.

I turned down tickets for tonight's game. That's how ugly I think it's gonna be.

Excellent choice...I hope you use the money at one of the burger places

I would but I can't get anyone to go with me.

I can’t believe the moronic media buying double talk wanting to play 4 lines bullsbit. There was nothing stopping him from doing it. What was going to be the worst thing to happen by dressing Carey or Cracknell and sitting Holden? Lose by one more goal. Now Nieves is the saviour allowing double talk to finally play four lines. What a load.

Nieves fitting right in. Shoots into the goalie and misses the open net.
