Rangers may have as many as 9 forwards with 20+ goals this season. Usually, such scoring depth up front means that you're a Cup contender.
Unless you have AV running and designing your defense and defensive personnel.
Rangers are in real good shape up front. Get Zib back get rid of shorty and add a guy who can play up and down the lineup and there good to go up front. Whoever is slapping chewy and helping him with the lines is doing a good job and needs to keep doing it. On defense Shattenkirk is a nightmare usually costing the Rangers at least a goal a game. Smith has plenty of warts to and the Rangers will not be able challenge for a wide open conference title with both of those guys on defense. Rangers got some serious upgrading to do on defenseman if they expect to go anywhere.

I would doubt it was something planned, you can never predict how the puck is going to bounce of the glass. |

I don't think he planned for it to bank right in off the goalie, but he very well could have meant to shoot it into the glass and be the first guy to the puck.... whether it deflects to the side of the net... right out in front.... if it didn't hit Rask, Grabs was ready to bat it out of mid air
It's just like designing a play to get the rebound a goalie leaves off his pads.... except it's the boards.
.... either that or he missed on his shot that he meant to go top shelf... he missed high on accident, and lucked out
