Hey, I don't make this stuff up I just post it..

Duclair requested a trade from the Coyotes, Craig Custance of The Athletic reported Thursday. The 22-year-old Duclair has seven goals and 13 points in 31 games for the last-place Coyotes this season. He has been a healthy scratch 10 times, and perhaps could be a candidate for a Rangers reunion.

Anthony Duclair once looked like a future cornerstone for the Rangers. Now he’s struggling to earn ice time for the worst team in the NHL and wants a fresh start.

Ahhhh. Keith Yandle. Love that name. Yup. One more in a long list of blunderous trades. Wasn't he the supreme power play specialist?

I'd take a flyer on him if the price is right and he's willing to start in Hartford and work his way up. Also if AV is gone because otherwise it'll be all the same problems all over again.

If they wanted a 3rd round pick I'd probably do it. I usually don't buy into the "change of scenery" excuse but when the team you play on has 6 regulation wins halfway through the season you can't really blame the kid for lack of production. He's still quite young (22) and scored 20 goals 2 years ago.

I'd rather have that than a third round pick, who typically has a 6% chance or so of making the NHL as a regular (100+ GP)

On the other hand I sure like what Clark can do with a third round pick...

Love that Seabrook has a cap hit of 6.875 million from now until age 38, only 5 more seasons to go after this one.

Hossa on LTIR - at age 38 has 3 more seasons after this one - cap hit 5.275 million per season.

Duclair becomes the 4 highest paid forward on the active roster @1.2 million (anisimov on IR would be 4th at 4.55million)

This is where the NHL is headed - 4 forwards making millions and the rest of the forward roster filled out with guys making 700k to 900k.

But it is the players fault that these horrendous contracts exist.

lol - 1 goal and 7 points in 18 games as a Ranger. Seems to me that like Stepan's start to his career (hat trick in 1st game as I do remember) does make him more of a phenom, as much as he didn't turn out to be a special player long term. It remains to be seen if Duclair's career will even/ever measure up to Stepan's.

Pretty early still, plus they're entirely different styles of player so difficult to compare.

Ultimately going from Arizona to Chicago, even in a bad year, would be just about any player's dream. Even with talented youngsters, Duclair, Domi, Keller, the Coyotes couldn't amount to anything. They're the Islanders of the desert.
