Miller got publicly flamed for a couple turnovers. He shoved it up the coaches wazoo. Well done. I’m not inclined to think a NHL coach is stupid enough to be vindictive towards one player, but also don’t like chewys famous “some players have a longer leash than others” statement. When players see others getting preferential treatment, and by that I mean some players go unpunished for the same issue, we’ll then it probably is or will be a issue. It will be interesting to see going forward if players other than Miller, Vesey, and Buchnevich up front miss ice time for similar transgressions. And of course we all know Smitty is the only one that messes up on defense and gets sat.
So it will be fun watching Herb going forward now that he’s set a bar.

Miller shoves it up coaches rear, three point night.

Maybe the benching actually worked.....

Exactly ... anyone who doesn't think so, is a pus and never played or coached sports.

He's been benched many times before, and didn't come back with a 3 point night...I guess the benching didn't work in those cases????

You cannot say that the benching worked because he had 3 points..What if he had none?? Are you saying that the benching produced the 3 points? Or, that if he wasn't benched he wouldn't have scored 3 points??

If thats the case AV should bench him and everyone else every other night. We would lead the league in goals!!

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Miller you give there.

It appears to be a cause and effect thing....but there is certainly a possibility that he may have gotten those points if not benched. Or you can conclude that he was especially motivated to do better because of it. Some players respond well to getting benched, some sulk. Its a good thing that it seems to have worked....at least for one game.

What I like the most about this whole situation is that he didn't sulk
