Absolutely....that why getting 6 points in Canada really did not help the cause
Take 6 points away from the Rangers and look where they'd be. Now there sorta stuck in the middle of making the playoffs and being in a good draft position. make up their minds dam it. mediocrity in this case will suck. |

| I don't see us getting up to 4/5. These other teams stink as well and also know losing is best. Our best chance is 7th. And I would say 8/9 right now if I were betting.

Yep....first off...Arizona is on NHL welfare....they are a disaster of a team....They should be contracted....Secondly its obscene that the Oil has WON the Lotto so many times and are still terrible....Thats why I think we should ask about Connor |

VGK @ DET - DET is just three points behind NYR so a win here by the Wings could tighten things up
CHI @ CAR - CHI is tied with NYR, CAR are 3 points ahead...an OT/SO game would be the best, with CHI winning
NYI @ EDM - EDM is 6 behind NYR and NYI is 1 point ahead....ideally an OT/SO win for EDM would be best

MTL @ FLA - MTL is five points behind NYR, so a win by them would help the cause...FLA though, one of the hottest teams in the league right now

BUF @ OTT - The worst team versus the third worst team...neither are likely to be caught by NYR, slight interest in OTT winning
COL @ CBJ - CBJ are 7 points ahead of the NYR, COL is 11, so slight interest in CBJ winning and making it a 9 point gap
STL @ SJS - STL is 9 points ahead of the NYR, SJS is 13...not much likelihood either of these teams matter

Also some other teams moving closer:
Edmonton now just 3 points behind NYR thanks to 3 wins in a row, and a 6-4-0 record in their last 10
Isles won to move now 3 points ahead
Canes won to move 4 points ahead
Both Isles and Canes have same number of points - 8 - over the last 10 games, as NYR
The Red Wings and Canadiens have lost 6 and 4 games in a row respectively, and while they remain within range...they look harder to catch now ...4 and 5 points behind respectively, though each have a game in hand |
