Kreider is -3.

Sproul is -2.

Hoping that they'll both be elsewhere next season, along with AV.

He's lucky that D'Angelo got hurt, otherwise he'd be shipped out long ago. Then again, with AV you never know.

I thank god AV was kept to finish the season. Without that it would have removed something you all loved to talk about daily down the stretch of this lost season.... He is 100% gone, I have no doubts there, but it was fun he stayed for 82.

Step one done. We are now no worse than 9th. Now we need the Oilers to win and/or the Hawks to get a point so we move up to 7th or 8th (pre-lottery). If I were a betting man I think we'll end up 8th as Edmonton wins. I don't think the Hawks get a point though, so we won't jump to 7th IMO.

They have exit meetings with players, if they are 100% on firing him then he should not be taking part, they would probably have them on Monday. If they are not a 100% then the management would be delicately discussing coaching with the players for their input. And using that input and their opinions to decide his fate. Right now there are very few viable candidates, and the list of coaches on the chopping block is not exactly noteworthy either. I wouldn’t be suprised if it goes either way.

The exit interviews will be boiled down to about 10 players. The others were barely here long enough under AV to have any real opinion of him.

Henrik, Kreider, Zib, Staal, Zuc, Buch, Hayes, Skjei and Vesey.

Not many of those guys are gonna have glowing prise of AV, I'm thinking.

As much as the Rangers Executives might have interest in opinions from players on the coach, and most certainly from the senior players it’s also about setting the players up for summer training, feedback on the players thoughts on their own play this year, and team expectations for the players role next year. Which is why if the Rangers have made up their mind on firing him already, he should be fired before the meetings, or at least not take part. IMO if he’s in on the meetings, firing him is not a done deal.

They didn’t keep him around for the exit interviews, well done Mr. Gorton.

DeAngelo is complete garbage. He's just as bad as Sproul. Neither has any ability to defend on the NHL level.

I believe Lundqvist did his exit interview weeks ago with Gorton and basically told him to get rid of him. Or it was just so obvious that AV has no interest in team defense.
