All these loser points are going to screw us come draft time.

100%...or make us go out and get Joe Thornton

Rangers have only 9 ROW, worst in the league, but if you go by points they're currently only 10th worst. Pretty sure they still haven't won a regulation game on the road.

This team is way worse than the standings look, and we're going to end up picking 10-15 in a year that doesn't matter.

They can't even lose correctly.

Still 50 games to go, and the Rangers are closer to the bottom than they are to the top. Plenty of time for the teams below the Rangers to surpass us in the points column. The low ROW the Rangers have will catch up to them in the end, I hope so anyway. Hopefully get a top 5 pick, they just can't draft another Lias, I don't see it from this kid, just don't. He's nothing more than an Oscar Lindberg in my opinion. Bottom 6 player at best, is how it looks right now anyway.

Rangers up til now are exceeding expectations. By some not a lot, but still better than expected. But assuming Gorton trades, Zucc, Hayes, and others you can quit worrying about them finishing to high because they will fall faster than a rock after the trades. Nothing of immediate impact will be coming back so they will no longer be capable of being the scrappy crew they are now. You can add Fast to the should trade list, his value will probably never be higher unless some team is dumb enough to hire Chewy. He’s a piece a team might think will fill out a bottom six role, and certainly nobody the Rangers would pencil in as a keeper. So fire away Gorton, Zucc, Hayes and Fast plus whatever you can move off the blue line will get you back some bullets for next year. And it’s all about the actions of one the trades causing a direct reaction down the standings so the sooner the better.

Tell Henrik its time to go and make him waive his NMC...The future does not include him. He was told we are rebuilding and its gonna be rough and he chose to stay ... so he has no business throwing a fit out there or going over to the bench and lecturing the team. the team sucks...thats the way it is

I hope Lias can at least become Oscar

Yep the poverty points are not helping....9 ROW is the only team in the NHL still in single digits

I have a different view:

This team needed a culture change after the AV years. It started with getting rid of some of the former foundation players (McDonagh, Nash, Girardi) and replacing them with very young players. This was going to be painful and unpredictable. For the most part, Quinn has kept things from being a complete mess. The leadership of the team was turned over to Frodo, Fast, Kreider, Staal and Zibanajed. None of them are long-term answers to the leadership question on the ice. The next captain of the team may not even be in uniform right now.

We are watching as a franchise turns over, hopefully with a new direction and vision. If Gorton is simply replacing the pieces of a failed vision, then I hope it collapses by April. They need defensive grit and physical presence, and a pure goal scorer or two; please forget the finesse defensemen and pass-happy perimeter forwards.

They work hard for this coach and show stretches of promise, and are fun to watch on most nights. But they make too many mistakes in their own zone and against the rush. They are the definition of "work in progress". I'm willing to be patient and see what culture Quinn develops here and if some of these young players can develop over the next two or three years into upper level NHL players.
