Sams a cracker. “Oh man Chytil has those moves.”

It is too early to tell, but he may be the real deal.

I agree keep playing him expect some mistakes. Offensive guys are going to make them, even Paul Coffey did as a young player. They get rid of him and he could bite them in the ass.

He needs to control his temper. He has great toughness and compete level, but he has taken stupid penalties.

He has to grow through that, part of his makeup is that tiger in him, it’s a aseet if harnessed correctly. It’s better than some no emotion zombie. Part of successfully coaching a guy like that is to get that hotheaded feistiness being channeled in a positive way. All part of being a young stallion.

After reading many posts throughout its hardly anyone is safe.
Chytil and THE BULGARIAN for the rest the hopes are slim per all GM’s who post here at OTG.

Tambelini will stay according to one source here at ...OTG.

No he doesn't. He sucks. There you go overreacting on one game. He is clueless defensively. Also, you don't want the Devils to lose fool. You want them to win just enough to miss the playoffs. I don't want those scumbags with a higher pick than us.

As far as Rangerjunkie. If you are too stupid to understand that a kid who is turning 25 soon and has 16 career points in 43 NHL games is not very good, you should stop watching hockey. I can't wait until the trade deadline to see all the teams lining up to acquire the talented Boo Nieves. God you're dumb. It's amazing how our stupid fan base reacts to one good game after a month of horsecrap play. Oh yeah, I'm sure the 7th pick in the draft Andersson now how less value around the league than Boo Nieves.

More importantly is move who you should first. McQuaid brings an element the Rangers sorely need on full display last night. Shattenkirks signing rivals Wade Reddon for stupidest. Smith earning honorable mention in the same category. McQuaid is a guy for now to round out the bottom six. The Rangers have to find out where Pionk, DeAngelo, Lindgren, and Hajek fit. Defense should be in no order Staal, Pionk, DeAngelo, McQuaid, Skjei, Lindgren (assuming he proves up)and another kid Hajek, Crawley take your pick. Keep Claesson around. Not only is the jury still out on Pionk and DeAngelo its even still out on a very mediocre Skjei most nights. If Pionk, DeAngelo and even Skjei can't win games going down the stretch then you move on.
One or both of Shattenkirk and Smith have to go the sooner the better. McQuaid not so much but always available in a win deal for the Rangers.

I think you have this largely correct from a player personnel standpoint, however who gets moved and when, is going to be largely dictated by contract status. So McQuaid, who I would love to keep around, is going to have good value as a hard nosed, playoff experienced, depth defenseman, and teams are going to pay. If they can retain enough salary on Smith, I'd move him next, same with Shattenkirk. Claesson has been good for us but if he can return a decent asset, well he's not impossible to replace. I have serious concerns about Skjei at this point, I think a trade should be explored before the rest of the league catches on.

Staal's contract is tough to move so he probably won't be going anywhere. It's possible they keep DeAngelo around too just for the talent. Pionk is fine, he's just not a top pair defender. Really the whole defense needs to be revamped. There's really no one on the defense who should be considered untouchable. Rangers have one of the most expensive defensive corps around especially when you consider their talent level.

Kids are an interesting lot too. Need to see how some of the Hartford kids can fit in, (some have been disappointing), but there's also Reunanen, who never gets talked about, but is going to leapfrog up the depth chart once people start catching on.

TD is the best puck moving D man we have hands down....He needs to play to see if he can either sink or swim.....If he cant then we move on.....He is better than Pionk who is a tire fire on D. Yes I hate the Devils more than anything I love when they lose....Yes I want them to finish 15th...Plenty of time for that

The reasons you list explain why you keep McQuaid. a new contract for him won't break the bank. Lets agree its doubtful his trade return will be anything more than a peripheral roster player, or third round pick tops, type of thing . Assuming lindgren, DeAngelo and Mcquaid are on the team going forward the Rangers will have some group spine on defense finally. Which is what Quinn wants. And lindgren and DeAngelo have it to do.
If the brains of the operation decide Smith and Shattenkirk have to go then its up to them to make it happen. ASAP. Realistically I don't think anyone views those two as part of any future with the Rangers. Staal is the best of the three and still a positive out there, and likely here til his contract's final year unless Gorton works some magic.

They both at one point in time needed to go and now have to go. All they are doing is blocking kids. Zero future, and very little on ice value now, certainly not at a level, Lindgren and Hajek should be able to match and with youthful exuberance even surpass. Mcquaid brings a lot of on and off ice value that largely goes unnoticed by many but not his teammates. Sign mcQuaid to a good two year deal for pretty much the same money and he's still a movable asset next year at the deadline if need be.
Gorton has to start getting rid of some of this dead wood.

If that's the return then sure, keep him. Perhaps I'm optimistic but I think there will be an 11th hour bidding war and he'll return much more, in the way of futures, than a peripheral player or a third. His pending UFA status is valuable to playoff teams, but has no value in itself to the Rangers.

I don't think I'm overestimating McQuaid's ability, I think you're underestimating the desperation of opposing GMs.

Oh yeah, I'm sure the 7th pick in the draft Andersson now how less value around the league than Boo Nieves.

Sooo,

That would be about a 32 point season, and you think thats bad for a 4th line guy??

Stepan used to get about 60 points a season being the first line guy, playing double the minutes, and getting PP time.

You still think 32 points is bad for a 4th liner??

Whose stupid, dumb now??

Yeah, cause no 24-25 year old player has ever played in the NHL, had a short good stretch then sucked. I can't believe you are this retarded. You sound like you're 15. Whacking off over a 14 game stretch. Plus the asswipe already has a history of concussions. Not to mention he wasn't even a good scorer in college. However, by all means, continue to think he's this rare dope that blossoms at 25. My guess is that Gorton will jump for joy if he can dump him in a package deal for a legit prospect. He hasn't even been a good scorer at the AHL level.
