My name is Dan and I’m sorry to report you all that my brother Mike “Mikey Red” has passed due to complications from ALS. He loved this group as you all know. Please keep Mike in your thoughts.

While we all share different thoughts and opinions on here, this forum is like a brotherhood and Mikey was front and center in most of the discussions.

Godspeed Mikey - your thoughts, comments, enthusiasm and general Ranger fandom will be sorely missed.

Dan - my heartfelt sympathies to yours and Mike's families.

Wow. I believe he is around my age, grew up in the 80s. Bad & sad news to hear. Enjoyed talking to him here about other things as well like music, good alcohol, etc...

Wow! I am truly shocked and saddened with this news. Mike wore his heart, the Rangers, and our site OTG on his sleeve. He kept the conversations going long after I thought they were done. He will be sorely, sorely missed. RIP Mikey Red.

Oh God! My condolences,Danny.

I have met Mike twice I believe.
Once in a bar and then at MSG.
I also remember his brother - Feibo - who used to post here.
His brother’s heart gave up after many years and Feibo passed away unfortunately.Mike himself informed us here about his brther’)
Feibo was extremely funny as Mike as we all had a pleasure to experience it on our own here at OTG.
It’s hard to believe that he won’t be here anymore .
We will miss all his posts about Trouba. He was on it and never gave up on him being a Ranger one day.

Mike I will miss you brother!

That sucks. I liked his posts whether I agreed with him or not. So many terrible things out there and ALS is surely one of them. It is such an exciting time for the Rangers. I pray he can watch the team from a better place and enjoy this season. We often rip each other on this board and there are altercations but the love for the Rangers never stops. He was a damn good fan.

Why not both? I "stickied" this thread, but am all for calling the forum "Mikey's Rangers." Only Fish can change the forum name. Fish, can you please help? Winter has been coming for the past 6 years. Time for a change.

I've been away and missed this news. Dan, if you check this, my deepest condolences on your family's loss, and a thank you for coming here to let us know.

We didn't always agree, but Mikey was a big personality who invited a lot of discussion and debate, and loved the Rangers as much as any of us.

RIP Mikey.

When I lost my job a while back, he messaged me on here with job offers..... they were a little far for me, but the kind gesture to a guy he never actually met..... we would never be able to pick each other out of a crowd..... but it shows true character.

As he did here. The man had a lot to offer, and I'm sure that wasn't just some online persona. My heart goes out to the family and friends who actually knew him.... I have never deleted the messages he sent me....And I won't. They will always be a reminder of him, and the brotherhood this forum breeds.

Thanks again, Mikey. For everything.....

Wow,,, this is horrible news, my thoughts and prayers to Mikey’s family... I haven’t been on here for a while and this was the last thing I was expecting to see. The game threads will never be the same.

I will especially miss his game thread comments on the music being played during breaks... he had each venues DJ down to what style music they played... he was a hard rock fan like myself and we spoke plenty about music.
