DeAngelo is going to be 50-60 points plus this year. He’s got the potential to be a Q.B. go to consistent offensive Dman. They don’t grow on trees, Keane, Rykov and Lundqvist seriously that’s a joke. At this point in time they have a long way to go to play in the NHL and none will ever come close to DeAngelo’s numbers. Brian Leetch was far from a defensive stud his first three four years in the NHL. DeAngelo will sign for Skjei money this year and it’s a simple matter of dumping Skjei. Will they do it? Who knows but I wouldn’t be so quick to throw DeAngelo under the bus.

You're lost. Lundkvist could play right now in the NHL. Easy. He plays against men and is already rock solid. Rykov was playing against men but I'd like to see him with a full year in the AHL.

Which of our Euros are lazy?? I love the stereotyping in hockey.

Finnish players are actually known for tgeir work ethic... so are the Swedes... But the Finns play a complete game. Hardnosed. I'll take another Finn... Huge frame, and skill potential.

He's a good young 21 year old player he just doesn't want to be in Edmonton anymore.

I wouldn't mind Andersson for him straight up

As usual in your small mind, unproven kids playing in men's leagues that produce as many duds as studs, are already NHL'ers. Thank gawd for the Rangers, Gorton is smarter than you, and understands, players have to get here, and prove they belong before he gets rid of a player.

I'd like to see Puhlljarvi here. Although I'm still on the fence with Andersson, so I'd rather they sent a dman or two to Edmonton instead. Rangers have a lot of potentials, and can afford to part with the right ones. Andersson has a lot to like about his game just like Puhljujav, and they both need to play.

Ha ha I agree, I can name so many so many canadian/american players that never reached their potential & don't show up. A team with Kreider on it why talk about Euros?!?

This team is way too euro already and this board has always had a hard on for pussy euro players. Going back years. Everytime this team has another team play physical, they bend over and get their ass kicked. It's been going on since the Torts days ended.

You are so confusing to understand as you follow your initial "too many Euros" post with one that says the following "Lundkvist could play right now in the NHL. Easy. He plays against men and is already rock solid. Rykov was playing against men but I'd like to see him with a full year in the AHL". So which is it - you want Europeans or you don't?

Yeah.... I don't want to trade any of em. You gotta give to get, though.

If our top 3 centers for the foreseeable future are what they are...

Zibanejad
Chytil
Howden

I don't see Andersson getting a fair shot.... and he's not.... I'd like to see him switched with Howden. I'm not sure if it's the year difference in age or what, but I don't see how Howden is so much more deserving of the ice time.

I’ll just say at this point I’d take Howden. I think Andersson is getting a decent shot, he just needs to make the most out of his opportunity. Keep playing hard til he shows Quinn he is ready to move up the lineup. Many players start there, many move up, many don’t. Worst thing Andersson can do is pout. It’s up to him to remove all doubt he is ready for more responsibility. And then he gets his chance. I’m definitely not in favour of a straight up Andersson for Puhljujarvi trade as mentioned.
