McKegg has to shoot that one off the pass.

i was thinking the same thing, he was dicking around with the puck losing his angle by the second

Howden needed that goal, should give his confidence a boost. He’s had a good game.

Lemieux did well in that tilt with meathead.

Lemieux being able to do that makes Haley all the more expendable.

Bet Wilson’s ribs feel nice.

Flashes of good solid hockey are becoming more and more prevalent. This team’s play is on a steady growth. Slower than we would all like but very evident. Another night where a lot of guys were pulling on the oars, a nice effort.

This team showed some moxie last night. The young guys are developing confidence and a bit of an attitude. So cool to watch. Reminds me of the late 70's and early 80's group.

Kreider and Trouba are stepping up in the leadership roles. Kreider's hip check on Wilson, just before the fight with Lemieux, was a nice message being sent by a player who has not used his size and strength enough in his career. Perhaps he's waking up. Only took him 8 years.

The Caps targeted Buchnevich, Howden and Hajek all game. I thought they stood up well against some big guys who knocked them down. They refused to back down and never shied away from further contact. They took hits to make plays, and Howden got the last laugh with the goal that sealed the game. Their maturation is going well.

Lemieux is the player I've wanted on this team for years. If he wasn't a Garden favorite before last night, he is now after his fight with Public Enemy #1, Tom Wilson. That is shaping up to be a great rivalry within the rivalry with those two guys.

I caught myself thinking he was Claude Lemieux watching him skating last night, very similar. Brendan was a helluva a get for Gorton one that will be remembered for a long time, he’s got a tremendous future with so much more growth to come in his game. I think he’s got 25 goal a year potential and he could get there playing with Howden and Kappo. Definitely a exciting kid line to get Ranger fans excited. Plus it leaves Zib, Strome, Chytil, Kreider, Buchnevich, and Panarin to make up two more solid lines.

He is THE perfect bottom 6 winger in today’s NHL.
20 goal potential, gritty, responsible

Just reminds me of a Claude, Bickell, Hollweg, Prust hybrid

You can give him shifts with Panarin, Kakko, Buchnevich for protection & he will hold his own. Couldn’t be more pleased.
