RANGERS (14-11-3) at GOLDEN KNIGHTS (15-11-5)

7 p.m. ET; NHLN, TVAS, ATTSN-RM, MSG, NHL.TV

The game

Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to return to the starting lineup for the Vegas Golden Knights when they host the New York Rangers at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday.

The goalie had been on a leave of absence from the Golden Knights since Nov. 26 and would make his first start since Nov. 23, a span of six games.

The Golden Knights are on a five-game point streak (4-0-1) after losing eight of their previous 10 (2-6-2). They defeated New York 4-1 at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

The Rangers have won five of their past eight (5-2-1) and are on a four-game road point streak (3-0-1). Henrik Lundqvist is expected to start for New York, which begins a four-game road trip.

Players to watch

Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba has five points (one goal, four assists) in the past five games.

Golden Knights forward Alex Tuch has seven points (four goals, three assists) during a season-long four-game point streak. He is two points from 100 in the NHL.

They said it

"It's a funny game sometimes. I thought we deserved better. It's one of those things where we play again [Sunday], we've just got to grow from it, learn from it, and move on." -- Rangers defenseman Marc Staal on New York's 2-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Friday

"It was a hard week. When you go back on the ice, it changes your mind. You try to enjoy the game, be in the moment a bit. … We have such a great bunch of guys. They've been so supportive and positive around me and keep me smiling and stuff. Very thankful for that." -- Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury

Staal called for delay of game, no replay, Strome feeds a shorthanded pass to Zib who draws a weak slash call.

The Rangers really need to have the “best thing you can do for us Hank is to allow us to see if we can move you to a team u ok with” talk. Georgiev and Shestorokin would be a good pair going forward. Might be able to get s decent piece back.

I honestly don't think they can trade him, especially before Shesty proves he's not a fluke.

Since they are not trading Henrik either, I think they get him to consider retirement.

It is an unfortunate spot for the Rangers. Georgiev is really showing to be a potential #1.

Heard this a few times before from Ranger fans (Talbot, Raanta). Neither turned out to be a #1 but this time Hank's older so Georgi may just end up being our #2 for awhile longer (with Hank and then Shesty) rather than someone else's failed #1.

He's really growing into the role. Earlier in the year I started having doubts he could make the leap, but he's really shown over the last 3 week or so what he can do. He leads by example, one of the few that take that responsibility and execute on it.

I think Hank needs to do the right thing along with the organization. Hank should retire, Rangers should pay him his salary as a bonus for a job in the organization. Hank should always be working for us if he wants. He has earned that. Georgiev is really good.
