Depends whether those expectations are realistic....Cory Pronman had projected Schneider as the 4th best defender in the draft, though he also said th

Rumor has it we picked the Devils pocket taking Schneider at 19. They were going to take him at 20.

Real strong blurb by Craig Button about Schneider’s game tonight.

All 6 of Canada's d-men are NHL ready.

It would be nice to see Schneider get one more season in the WHL to improve his offensive game. His defensive coverage is flawless.

Mathew Robertson should have been on defence for Team Canada but for the dreaded Covid. Rangers got two real good ones in the two WHL’ers. When you look at what’s coming you have to tip your hat to Gorton and his scouts. Fabulous job of assembling talent.

USA 3 Canada 0. Well deserved USA win. Both Rangers, Berard and Schneider played well. Schneider in particular continued his little bit better every game. One of the better Canada Dmen. Kids going to be something, hopefully the Rangers can get him playing somewhere.

Brooks mentioned in his article yesterday, that the Rangers tried to sign him before December 31st, which would have allowed them to perhaps keep on the roster for part of the start of the year, but were unsuccessful

The Rangers signed Schneider to an AHL contract, which means he'll be able to play for the Wolf Pack when their season kicks off next month. He can play there until such point the WHL season gets under way, assuming that it does in fact do that. Currently the WHL plans to have a 22 game season, though a start date has yet to be determined. The OHL is also currently suspended due to a rise in cases in Ontario, and the QMJHL, which did start a season, has been suspended since December 12th.

I don’t think you will see junior hockey in Canada this year. They don’t have the resources to play without fans which make up the majority of their income. And a lot of provinces dealing with pretty tight coved lockdowns. Luckily guys like Robertson and Schneider can play in the AHL.

Can't wait until he makes the big club because at least half our defense are retards with no clue how to play defense.
