But funny things can happen in his situation, bust his balls do what ever he has to so he gets noticed, and a guy up the chain lets up a bit and Bernard could sneak by. Another feather in the Ranger scouting hat.

I know you think you could pick a 18 year old kid later in a draft and he would immediately jump to the NHL, but your unable to comprehend drafted where he was and knocking on a world junior teams roster is great drafting. It’s not like we can use your successful predictions as a measuring stick, a stick I’m sure you recreationally shove up your ass daily, because your prediction record is a astounding 0 right and 392 wrong. Well done chipster.

Well done chipster. Not accurate. He was right about Ryan Graves who is a top 4 dman, was +40 with 9 goals scored for the Avalanche this season. Dump was spot on with Graves. That makes him 1 for 392.

A undersized 134th overall pick, who is turning into astute draft pick, taking a nice step in his progression. Very big deal making that team at his age. one of only six 2002"s and second youngest on the team. .

The kids got some balls goes to the dirty areas and acquits himself well for a smaller guy. It’s called progression which is what you want from draft picks. Good on the kid.

When he goes to the AHL and does something, wake us. Ronning. scored 61 one goals in 70 games his last juniors season. He has 5 goals in 51 AHL games.

What Berard has accomplished since he was drafted is commendable and worthy of praise. Which is what the discussion was about. . Now your moving the discussion to the NHL in a weak attempt to prop up your idiotic argument Berard has done nothing. Get back out on the road with your sign the muffler shop is open and do something.

Posts: 850 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Looking forward to that hit on Barzal and Hughes soon. Thus why the reason I was pushing for the Rangers to trade up to draft him months before the draft. You aren't winning cups with 4, 5'10-5'11 midgets on your defenseman corps. You need big, mean, top defensive defenseman to keep the puck out of your net and punish the other teams best forwards.

Nothing dirty or intentional about it at all. He did lead with his shoulder like he’s supposed to, it was just unfortunate the German player had his head down. No one wants to see a kid get hurt, but it’s getting ridiculous. The pussification of hockey continues.

Posts: 4816 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here we go nice article about Berard the guy who has done nothing, as described by the guy who knows nothing. Fifth round pick by Rangers, not only makes the World Junior roster a year ahead of any expectation he would, he is now starting to take a prominent role. Berard is showing flashes of a lot of good traits and skill that will keep moving him up the ladder. With the exception of Lafrenierre, Kakko, Kravstov, Miller, Lundqvist type picks who's talent and potential a blind man can see, guys like Berard scrap to get noticed and make teams. They are drafted because they get noticed. All those games he played in the years leading up to the NHL draft, Ranger scouts noticed something about him, that dialed them in. Its not like he had the preordained notoriety like the afore mentioned Ranger stud picks. He had to go out every night and exhibit the skills, temperament, attitude, potential and upside the Ranger scouts obviously saw. There is definitely something there, you see it the first time you watch him play. Its very hard to teach drive, attitude, competitiveness, balls ect. very few buy in, you either have it or you don't. The kid has that package in spades. Now its a never ending commitment by him to get to where the Rangers want him. This guy has a shot to do just that. https://www.si.com/hockey/news/meet-brett-berard-american-aggressor
