![]() Publisher Posts: 1114 ![]() ![]() Location: USA | Assuming that Zibanejad ultimately is okay to play, it looks like it'll be: Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich Panarin-Strome-Kakko Lafreniere-Chytil-Gauthier Lemieux-Howden-Di Giuseppe Rooney the extra forward Lindgren-Fox Miller-Trouba Johnson-DeAngelo Smith the extra goalie Sheshterkin Georgiev Still some question over who will be in the taxi squad, but appears as if: Blackwell, Bitteto, Kinkaid...plus two more, may include Barron and Robertson or guys like Crawley, Fontaine, Brodzinski

Posts: 4816 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fish - 2021-01-12 11:58 AM All seven players have cleared waivers, and no waiver claims were made by the Rangers Brooks posting the question why didn’t they put Smith and Johnson on waivers, Smith brings some necessary toughness in the meanwhile and, with only a year left on his contract, can play some forward and D and has kind of become handy to have around. Johnson yes should have been but the way things are shaping up probably won’t be around long anyways. On the subject of Di Giuseppe he was pretty good last year in his role. Playing on the third line at the end of the year. Only guy close to being able to replace him is Rooney. So we will see how that unfolds.

Posts: 4816 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rangers are going to be better this year. At one point in time last year Zibanejad was right there with best player in the league, he gets consistent with that and away we go. Buchnevich is going to have a good solid consistent year. He’s done with growing pains, all growed up and ready to go. Kreider will have his best year, and that’s one line. Panarin will be Panarin and that’s great, Strome will do his part feeding off his linemates, Kakko is going to be a huge improvement over Fast. Absolutely no comparison in talent, and Kakko has the superstar mentality wanting to be the best. He’s going to have a great year.. Third line of Lafreniere and whoever will be fine, with rookie Lafreniere having zero growing pains carrying Chytil, and Gauthier or whoever on his back. When you can throw out Lemieux, DeGiuseppe, Rooney, and Howden out on your fourth line they can all compete. Forwards are set, plenty of talent to do the job. You don’t want to put a lot of pressure on Miller but if he can be consistent, chip in on the penalty kill and gobble up some ninutes, Fox and Lindgren don’t slip, Trouba finds and elevates his game, Tony D plays up to his talent, and forgets about the off ice crap, and Smith or someone else finds there way to a consistent sixth defenseman and the Rangers are going to be fine. They are rock solid in goal improved dramatically upfront, potential for a better defence and had a lot of growing pains last year. They are going to be a tough out to keep out of the playoffs. Gonna be a fun year.
