Why not Rooney, Gauthier or DiG? Blackwell has been playing well. |

Why not Rooney, Gauthier or DiG? Blackwell has been playing well.
Quinn said that he thought Blackwell struggled a bit last game, so perhaps that played into it. In terms of Rooney and DiG, I think it's that those two are bigger, stronger and more importantly better defensively...which I think means that you ultimately are looking at Blackwell vs. Gauthier. Might have been interesting seeing Blackwell alongside Chytil a bit, but I'm not sure it matters a huge amount.
I will say that Blackwell seems to fall down a lot, and doesn't have the size/strength in some situations. He also doesn't PK, whereas Rooney and DiG too. With Kakko coming back, it also probably pushes Blackwell off the PP. |
