Never saw guys jump in like Strome just did there. Not with Quinn, not with AV. Not since Torts was here. Coaching change has been huge for this team.

I laughed the first time, and I laughed at this one.

It’s officially a laugher now. Don’t be surprised if the Hawks trade for some toughness soon.

Imagine Sam doing a game with Biden in the booth. Comedy gold right there.

Right?? WTF

Add some much needed muscle and attitude, plus a coaching staff that knows how to get players to play, and the talent starts to blossom.  Doesn't hurt to have Shesterkin in goal, but they look good now even without him.

Tough game tomorrow against the Avs after traveling tonight from SmashAndGrab Town.

Just thinking, when was the last time a Rangers team physically dominated an opponent the way they did last night? The Trouba hit aside, there were Rangers knocking Hawks down all over the place. The Rangers were winning puck battles and shielding the puck away from defenders and forecheckers all night. Gauthier was a man amongst boys in the offensive zone. Trouba looked like Barry Beck out there. That was fun to watch!

I am cautiously optimistic and will be curious to see how they come out tonite... If Gallant can inspire them to play a hard 60 tonite after a late road game last nite. I realize that the team is not going to go undefeated the rest of the way but these are the tough tests that a hungry young team can rise to... I don't think they should be low on energy as the schedule has been somewhat light tho I think that the schedule gets a little tougher and that they will like the Christmas break when it arrives. Personally I think it sucks that the NHL takes a Christmas break when other sports don't and then we are going to get an Olympic break....

You make a good point about the breaks, especially the Olympics. This season is reminiscent of the 05-06 season. We came out of the gate strong and surprised everyone. Then Jagr and Henke came back from the Olympics all beat up. Here we go again.

Agree with this - the Olympic break could be a real momentum killer for this team, not to mention potential injuries.
USA - Fox, Touba, CK, even Lindgren
Sweden - Zib
Russia - Shesty, Panarin
Finland - Kakko
Czech - Chytil

Yeah, those 15 days off will be a test for Gallant and the team....it won't exactly be like starting again, but it could be tough. I think what you have there is obviously the worst case scenario, I think it's unlikely that Lindgren makes the cut...and perhaps neither Lindgren or Panarin (for political reasons). The Russians also have a pretty deep stable of goaltenders, so will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Also wonder if Lundkvist might sneak into the Swedish team...not as familiar with the choices on defense there
