| I mentioned the other day Lunkvist might be headed to Hartford. Ranger defense will be Fox, Lindgren, Trouba, Schneider, Robertson and Jones. It's just a matter of when. Lunkvist and Miller would both generate a good return, and it might be as soon as this month with Nemeth filling a spot til Robertson gets here. Drury will acquire a Hertl, Giroux type for a playoff boost. |

| I expect Schneider to play right away (why call him up if they are not going to play him), and I expect him to stay. He's NHL ready, has size, and likes to hit. He can be to Jones what Lindgren is to Fox. Also, Gallant coached Schneider for 9 games at the World Championships last year for the gold medal Canadian team.
Though he is still young, I view Lundkvist as a disappointment.

| Jones is not going to be a part of this team long term. The eventually pairing will be Trouba and Robertson. Unless they make a deal for a Chychrun |

| The first thing the organization will quickly realize is that Schneider is the type of defenseman you need to make cup runs. Miller isn't and they should package Miller now to help the team acquire players that will provide more playoff potential. I think Miller can be a useful player on another team for many years. Here, I don't see him as a guy you want getting top 4 minutes. I'd rather put Trouba and Schneider together in games that really matter even though they are both righties. Miller has been credited with 50 hits which is a joke. He doesn't hit anybody. Guy is as soft as Charmin. I believe the real reason they called Schneider up other than the fact he's what they need is because they have come to the conclusion to include Lundkvist in a deal. Weather that's for a Chychrun, a Gorde or another player. That was inevitable with Fox, Trouba and Schneider on the rosters who are righties. |
