It's not an interesting pickup. I was on Gourde but stated that Copp would be even better because of his faceoff skills. He was a perfect fit. This is the kind of move incompetent, dumb fuck Gorton never made. It was the logical pickup. Shame JD supported Gorton. JD was all over the Lafreniere draft. Honestly, Gorton had nothing to do with that draft. JD should have stayed.

Copp is a good faceoff guy. We'll see what Gallant does here, but there's some serious depth and competition for roster spots, especially when healthy.

Vs Devils on Tuesday

Kreider Zibanejad Lafreniere
Panarin Strome Vatrano
Goodrow Copp Chytil
Motte Brodzinski Reaves

Playoff roster

Kreider Zibanejad Lafreniere
Panarin Strome Kakko
Vatrano Copp Chytil
Goodrow Rooney Reaves

Lindgren Fox
Miller Trouba
Braun Schneider

Shesterkin

If Chytil doesn't start producing, he sits. Motte is ready....

Kravtsov could still come over, and Blais could return

I can also see Motte play instead of Reaves against teams the don’t play tough guys, like Carolina.

Goodrow, Rooney and Motte….

And don’t forget, there’s a good chance Bias can be back by late May, early June. What then?

Didnt JD walk away because he thinks it’s against hockey ethics for the owner of a team to publicly criticize anything on the ice related… I thought he walked in protest and against Groton getting fired.

Gorton was doing fine til Davidson came along and the decision to mail In a season, without trying to get better was made, evidenced by Bitetto on the team. To suggest Davidson ran the draft is just stupid. Both Davidson and Gorton obtained zero toughness and watched kids like Lafreniere and Kakko get pushed around all year. It was pathetic, Dolan had every right to fire both their asses. But it’s neither here nor there now, the important thing is Drury is doing a nice job here.

JD fucked up. Gorton fell in love with euro pussies. He should have been fired.
