Wiseman Re-signed

The Rangers continued their busy month of August today, resigning AHL All-Star forward, Chad Wiseman. The 23 year old left winger played four games with the Rangers last year and registered in his first NHL goal against Martin Brodeur last season in a January 15th match-up that resulted in a 3-3 tie. Wiseman also matched his career high in points at the AHL level with 52 in 62 games and set a new career high with 25 goals for the Wolfpack.
Wiseman was acquired by the Rangers in August of 2003 from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Nils Ekman who went on to have a career season with San Jose. The young forward went on to appear in four regular season matches with the Rangers, but failed to cement a spot with the team.
